"Shit, shit, shit!"

I quickly turned down the wet alleyway, rain pouring down in waves as I let out another string of curses. Of course a greater demon had to sneak up on me while I was on patrol. Alec was on his, long over due, honeymoon with Magnus, so that meant I was rolling solo.

What happened next...well I was careless.

My seraph blade dead weight in hand as I ran across New York, drawing the demon away from civilians and the couple downworlders running errands and whatnot. Running my stele over my agility rune I noticed that I didn't pay enough attention where I was heading to as I came upon an unfamiliar side of town.

And to think I knew the city like the back of my hand.

Before long, I lead it to, what I hoped was, a secluded park. Holding my sword up at the ready as I watched it's sporadic movements. However, a sudden tug to my body had me come to a stop. Not a physical pull, but a tug towards something?

Not fully able to look around to see what happened, hence the giant demon hoping to make me its next meal, I glanced over my shoulder. My eyes widening slightly as I watched the most unexpected turn of events happened.

Or at least by my standards.

A group of mundanes ran up behind me! And they where even holding up weapons.

I felt that same tug again as it resonated within my body but couldn't risk another glance away.
They couldn't just be mundanes though that's for sure. They have to have the sight to be able to see the demon.

However, I didn't have time to think about that now as the demon decided now was the time to swiped a claw down at me. So I danced around it's attacks, making sure it's attention was on me as I promptly through a good sized rock to its skull. Hearing a satisfying thump as I continued to circle around it.

Then a roar sounded from the brush, and it didn't sound to thrilled.

I quickly faked a swipe of my sword as I stuck it in the side with my spare knife, watching it fall to the ground as black blood poured out.

Hurriedly wiping the gunk off my blade onto my pants leg as I turned with a huff, finally turning to scan the foreign group who just looked on cautiously. None of us said a word as we studied one another. A hot red head and a guy with a bow, though Alec's looked superior, stood away from the others.

Something told me that these two were the silent badass of the group. I smiled at the thought as I remembered back when Clare first joined there little rag team of Shadowhunters. Though that was short lived when my blue and gold eyes scanned the others, I took a sharp intake when I saw a certain two males standing protectively ahead of the others.
Something in me snapped.

Like a distinctive thread formed between us, tying a faint string between the three of us.

The fates just love to throw me for a loop, huh.

I knew what it meant, I mean who doesn't. After literally going through hell and back It's nice to finally have something good happen in my life.

They both towered over me, looking down slightly as I took a step closer. Stopping right in front of them with my sword safely to my side. Of course I would look like shit meeting them. Demon guts and goop covered my cloths and left a trail going down from the top of my head, but they didn't sneer in disgust, which made me ecstatic.

The black haired male had on a dark vest of protective gear over a toned, muscled chest. With an awesome arm of metal replacing his left arm, completing the look of a soldier. The other, taller male had a soft tuft of blonde hair, though lighter than my own sandy blonde. He stood proud, showing off his bulky frame as his crystal blue eyes pierced through my soul.
