"Well, Bella is our sister."

"Wait. What?"

"Bella, blood doesn't lie. We didn't know. I talked to your dad. He said to just let you rot. But that is not what we are going to do. If you let us, we want you to be a part of our family. Who cares about dad. We want to be your big brothers but only if you let us."

"I have always wanted a real family.

"Well now you got one."

"Thank you. So I guess you are brothers and uncles now."

"Uncles?"

"Wait, that little girl that Trudy is holding is yours?"

"Yeah."

"Will, we are uncles! Trust me she is the cutest thing on earth."

"Adam?"

"Yeah?"

"How is this protective custody work?"

"Well, you have to stay with me until he is caught and put away forever."

"Can I stay at Jay's instead?"

"Sorry Bella. I wish you could stay with me so we can get to know each other better but you are my sister. I can't risk you getting hurt if you stay with me."

"Okay."

After Will and Jay left because they had to work. I don't know how long I was going to be at Adam's house but I knew that it was going to be a while so I was going to need a lot of things. Adam was sitting on the chair next to my bed. I couldn't take it any longer so I did it again. I kissed him. He had a big smile across his face.

"Bella."

"Yeah."

"Can I sit next to you?"

"Yeah."

I moved over a bit so Adam could sit on my hospital bed with me. I laid my head on his shoulder. This is where I was meant to be. Time is weird. I thought that I was asleep for like 5 hours but in reality I was only asleep for 20 minutes. When I was awoken by someone holding me. I open my eyes to see that Adam is carrying me somewhere.

"Hey, you're up."

"Yeah, where are we going?"

"I'm bringing you up to my bed so you can sleep. I'm gonna sleep on the couch."

"Adam?"

"Yeah?"

"What about Gracelyn?"

"My best friend Kevin took her to his house. He has a little sister she can play with. She will be fine."

"Can I FaceTime her?"

"Yeah."

Adam presses Kevin's contact on his phone.

"Hey bro what's up?"

"So you know how Gracelyn is with you."

"Yeah."

"Well Bella wants to see her."

"Oh, Hi Bella . I'm Kevin Adam's best friend and mostly caregiver."
