where felix slipped into non verbal headspace.

"hey sunshine, watcha doin?"
changbin said as he stared at his baby, felix was feeling small today so changbin decided to dress him up this morning.
even though the pair wasn't planning on going out, changbin knew how much felix loved looking all pretty and cute when he slipped.
felix was wearing blue overalls that had lace decorated on the pockets, with a white blouse under it that had flowers decorated on the collar. changbin also put little butterflies and flower clips on felix's blonde hair.
he looked super cute.
earlier today, changbin noticed that felix's headspace was sensitive. meaning that felix could slip into a younger mindset anytime.
felix went to play with his blocks and plushies while changbin was cleaning up the house. when changbin returned, he was greeted with felix who had a pacifier in his mouth and making his plushies talk to each other.
felix looked up at changbin with sparkly eyes and pointed at his plushie. changbin nodded and sat down next to felix crisscrossed.
"hm." felix suddenly hummed, looking at changbin.
"yes sunshine?" changbin answered.
felix looked sadly and put his head down, giving a soft whine to changbin. changbin tilted his head and scooted closer towards felix, grabbing his chin softly.
"baby, are you feeling smaller?"
"hm." felix hummed.
"how old are you right now? can you tell daddy?"
felix held up one finger and smiled, changbin hummed understanding that felix was always non verbal at this age.
felix whined softly when changbin pulled his hand away from his chin. changbin smiled softly and sighed.
"what is it that you want sunshine?"
felix whined harder sucking his paci and pushing one of his plushies towards changbin. changbin picked up and stared at it.
"you want daddy to play with you?"
felix shook his head and made grabby hands towards changbin, jumping on his bum while whining harder. changbin picked felix up thinking that his baby would be satisfied just by changbin being close to him.
felix only whined harder and clutched his arms around changbin's neck whining as he rested his head on his daddy's shoulders.
changbin was starting to get confused and tried to think of what to do. he paced back and forth to try to calm his baby's whines. he then thought of felix's favorite thing in the world.
cuddles.
changbin mentally facepalmed. how could forget such a simple thing? the younger was basically addicted to physical touch. especially by changbin.
"do you want cuddles love?"
felix lifted his head, looked down and nodded slowly while whining. changbin cooed and put felix's head back on his shoulder.
changbin walked towards the bedroom and put felix on the bed. felix whined and made grabby hands at the loss of contact between them.
"shush shush hey i'm here okay, it's cuddle time don't worry."
changbin climbed into bed as felix instantly cuddled closer to him, he placed his head on his caregiver's chest and hummed in comfort hearing the older's heartbeat.
changbin looked down at felix wrapping his arms closer to him and played with felix's soft hair since he knows the younger loves it.
felix sucked on his paci and played with changbin's finger, holding it with both of his tiny hands. he was loving the comfort and the effect on changbin's cuddles.
changbin started humming softly making his baby sleepy.
as time went by felix started to flutter his eyes closed, and his paci was moving in his mouth slower. changbin's hands were in his hold now.
changbin continued to play with felix's hair until the boy eventually fell asleep. the paci dropping from his mouth and changbin's hand still in his hold.
changbin smiled and put the paci on the bedside table as he pulled felix closer to his chest. felix hummed softly and rested his head on his chest.
"dada." he mumbled in his sleep.
changbin smiled and kissed felix's forehead.
"goodnight sunshine."
