Chapter Twenty-Nine

Shoyo's

Nobody dares to speak as the five of them kneel in front of Kita. Kita told their friends to leave them alone for a bit.

"Well? Would you mind explaining why the five of you are wandering around the castle this night in this situation? You guys are aware that you've violated plenty of school regulations by this point, right?" Shin-niisan asked calmly.

"Shin-niisan, it's my fault," I said, as the others looked up in dismay.

"What?! No, we're all in this together, Shoyo." Draco argues.

"Yes, it's partly our fault," Blaise said.

"Enough. Shoyo, explain, don't even dare to lie, I know you when you're lying," Shin-niisan remarked, and I sighed and glanced at him.

"Okay, niisan," I replied, heaving a sigh before continuing to describe everything from the beginning, leaving no information out; the other four are merely quiet, occasionally adding information.

We remained silent after speaking, allowing Shinsuke-niisan to comprehend all we said until he tiredly sighed and looked at us.

"Didn't any of you realize what you're doing was so dangerous, huh? I'm extremely disappointed, especially you Rintarou," Shinsuke-niisan remarked, while Rin-chan just lowered his head.

"Please, Niisan, don't be upset at Rin-chan; we simply dragged him into this," I begged.

"I didn't give you permission to speak Shoyo," Niisan replied, and I just looked down.

"Do you know that the seven of you might have died because you were wandering about the castle with this creature roaming around? And now Harry, Ron, and Prof Lockhart are fighting the basilisk in the chamber," Niisan said.

"We really apologize, Shin-nii/Kita-san," we all said.

"And you, Shoyo, I know you're responsible and smart, but this is really dumb and irresponsible of you. You are a candidate for Prefect next year, for Merlin's sake, right?" Niisan stated that I simply nod. "Instead of doing your own thing, you might have informed a higher-up about this."

He huffed again and turned to face us.

"The five of you are fortunate that I covered for you, but this must not happen again, do you understand?" Niisan stated firmly.

We all said, "Yes, Shin-nii/Kita-san."

"Don't think you're off the hook just yet; because of your actions, the five of you are on cleaning duty here in the dorms until the school year ends, which is three months from now, understand? I don't want to hear any complaints or anything," Niisan stated.

"Yes, Nii/Kita-san," we said, and he sighed again.

"Stand up and get change, and hope that Harry, Ron, Ms. Weasley, and Prof Lockhart return safely," Shin-nii added.

We simply nodded and proceeded to our room, saying our goodbyes to Pansy. As soon as we entered the room, Kei, Jirou-san, Toshi, Tooru, and Tetkun stared at us.

While Tooru and Tetkun hurry towards us, Kei is upset yet concerned.

"Shoyo! Suna! Are you all right? What on earth are you thinking?!!" Tooru asked, concerned.

Rin sat alongside me as we sighed and walked to our own beds.

"I'm very sorry for worrying you guys," I said apologetically.

"You should be you shrimp, how dare you be careless like that, you made us so much worry when the three went back without you and Suna," Kei reprimanded.
