I felt Cold.

I saw the horror on his face.

I felt Scared.

I saw the knife go into his back and felt it as if it went into mine.

I Screamed.

I woke up and screamed, drenched in sweat and shaking uncontrollably. I tried to calm myself down but couldn't. I just kept feeling the knife going into him. He wasn't in pain though. I was. When the kid had died I fell to the ground and screamed because of the pain of the cold knife going into his flesh. Strange men surrounded me and when they touched me they arched their backs and franticly felt around looking for something coming out of their tummies then they'd fall to the ground and their eyes would go blank.
I shook my head at the memory. I walked to my mirror, my hair was long and black my eyes ice blue, my face pale. Even without makeup I looked emo because of my dark lashes.
I brushed my teeth and got dressed in a green sweater and black leggings. I had been living here for two years and had gotten to know the people here. I learned about the Avengers and had became friends with Banners daughter and Clint's son.
Today was special for two reasons, one my fifteenth birthday, second I was going to become on of the Avengers and learn about New York. I knew a little about it already, there was a guy who wanted to take over the world, he failed because the Avengers stopped him.
I hadn't met Thor yet but I also knew that he and the guy who tried to conquer the world both lived somewhere in space.
I walked out of my room and through the empty halls. It was very quiet today because it was Saturday and everyone got the day off. I went outside and walked to Dairy Queen. I smiled when I saw Trinity and Alec waiting for me. They knew me too well.
I walked inside and sat beside them. "The birthday girl is here!" Trinity said smiling her hazel eyes shining.  She was almost seventeen and Alec was almost sixteen witch made it easy for us to become friends us being the only people in their teens at Shield.
"Don't even worry about getting your chocolate extreme and plain cheese burger because it on the way." Trinity told me. Her very long brown hair was out of its usual tight bun and made her look loose and happy.
I beamed at her. "So what do you want for your birthday Hel?" Trinity asked me.
"Honestly I'm happy with life right now as it is." I told them. Honestly I was happy,  my life was great, I had friends and was going to become an Average.
I glanced out the window, it was very stormy today, dark clouds hid the blue sky.
"But your excited for meeting right? I mean you have to be,  this is when they introduce us to the Avengers and when we become one. I heard even Thor will be there."
I looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"It's true," Alec said.
Both my eyebrows raised as our food got past to us.
"Thanks," I told the lady.
"It can't believe you can eat all that chocolate." Trinity said giving me a look of disgust.
I shrugged taking a big spoon full.
"Alec your quiet today." Trinity observed.
"I'm quiet everyday." Alec said in a matter of fact tone getting out his phone and started texting.
"Who are you texting?" I asked,
"Friends."
"What friends?" Trinity asked.
When Alec ignored her she gave me a look and I shook it off. We both knew Alec stayed up last night shooting arrows. It wasn't unusual but it was getting to him.
We ate our food in silence and I wondered how the Avengers would react to meeting me. Bruce and Clint already knew about me but Fury kept it a secret from the rest. Even Natasha!
My phone vibrated three times in my pocket telling me Nick Fury texted me. I looked at my phone.

Nick: The meeting is canceled

I stared at the message trying to proses what  had just happened.

Hel: ...why?...

Trinity who had just taken a big bite of her strawberry blizzard saw my face and gave me a conserned look.

Nick: Things came up. Tell you later.

I stared at Alec and Trinity, them both giving me the 'what the hell happened look'.
"Nick canceled the meeting..." I said barley above a whisper.
Trinity gave me a sad look and Alec took a bite from his burger.
"It'll be okay Hel," Trinity told me.
"Yeah, now we can spend more time together. Probably doing nothing. " Alec added.
I didn't feel like eating anymore and neither did Trinity. Alec took one last bite then stayed silent with us.
"Well what do you want to do today?" Alec asked.
"Hmmmm..." I honestly had no freaking clue.
"Well how about we go shopping." Trinity suggested.
I sighed, "Okay let's go, but Fury's paying for everything I buy." I said trying to make a joke because the only money I've every gotten has been given to me by him. No one got it...

After a very long shopping trip me and Trinity came back very tired. Alec desided to leave at lunch to go shoot his bow and arrow,  but we did manage to in joy ourselves non of the less. I got a lot of new clothes and even played a few harmleas tricks on some strangers by making illusions of myself.
We got home/Shield around 7:20 I opened the door and stretched.
"Bye thanks for a great birthday."
"I was my pleasure!"
"Drive safe!"
Trinity waved and got into her little yellow Jeep and drove off. She lived with her dad Banner in a small cozy house close by.
I took the elevator downstairs on the first floor under ground. I got ready for bed but desided to thank Alec first. He lived here like me since his dad was Hawkeye and everything, so why not? I walked to his room and knocked. "It's me, Hel," I said.
When he didn’t answer I got suspicious. I walked to the elevator and went to the top floor.  I liked this elevator because one whole side was  glass. I sat on the floor crossed legged looking out the window at the night sky wishing I could see stars. Stupid radiation.
I got out and walked to the training room. I heard punching sounds, he was hitting a punching bag. I opened the door and walked in.
"I just wanted to say thanks for the... for the..."
Then everything faded into black.
