It was cold.
My tummy rumbled and felt as if it was caving in or like acid was eating it from the inside out.
I shivered feeling terribly cold.
But what hurt the most was the feeling inside me, it wasn't hunger though I felt that terribly as well.
It was worse.
Like a knife slowly twisting into my insides.
I felt alone.
I felt unbearably sad.
I rubbed my arms then brought my knees to my chest wrapping my arms around them.
I then looked up and my emotions boiled over.
I saw trillions of stars in the night sky.
So many little white stars with a big round moon shinning brightly.
My vision blurred and I blinked tears streaming down my cold face. I felt a sore throb in my heart as if it where yearning to be somewhere, or missed something very much.
I sob escaped my lips and my body trembled...***
I gasped and tears came down my face.
What was that!
I was hyperventilating.
I looked around confused at what had happened.
"Hela it's okay, you're all right!" I heard someone assure me.
I blinked and my vision cleared.
It was the outline of Fury.
I struggled to control myself, I needed to be calm.
"In. Out. In. Out." Fury told me.
I concentrated on breathing.
When it slowed I looked at Fury.
"Hela what happened?"
I thought back, while trying desperately to keep my cool.
"I... I went to thank Alec for my birthday and... I blanked out."
I pushed my black soaked hair out of my sweat covered face.
"I had a... a dream but it wasn't an ordinary dream... It was like it was actually happening." I let out a sob.
"Hela what happened in the dream?" Fury asked no softness in his voice.
"I was sooo hungry." I looked him in the eye. "It hurt s-soo bad. I felt completely alone. And cold! I felt empty."
Fury gave me a conserned look. "Hela stay here, you need to rest, I will try to figure out what's wrong. Will you be okay?"
I nodded.
He nodded and left.***
Alec
I wanted to see Hel, but Fury advised not to.
I was sitting on a bench with my elbows on my knees.
I would've been shooting arrows, but others where in the training center and I hated being there with others watching.
Not that I was shy, I just hated the way they looked at me in amazement or told me I was an exact replica of my father.
But non of that stopped me from bringing my bow and arrows with me.
Mine was very flexible and was on top of my blue sweater. I barley felt there and people wouldn't see it because of its ability to camouflage with what it touches.
That being said was why I always wore black gloves, hating when it turned the color of my skin.
I sighed my mind wandering back to earlier events.
What had happened to Hel, was it about her father?
Fury was stupid to keep it from her. I was okay with him keeping it from the rest. They wouldn't understand. But Hel, she deserved to know.
I shook my head. I had to get her off my mind.
I tried to find something to do.
I brought my attention to a girl in a black sweater with her hood up.
She was across the street leaning against the ouside of Dairy Queen.
Her blonde hair fell in front of her face. She looked up and surprised me with her icy blue eyes.
I don't really know why they suprise me but it made me feel uneasy.
I felt someone sit beside me and glanced at my father.
We sat in silence, neither of us being the talking type.
"I'm going to tell Hel." I told him glancing his way.
He nodded seeming unmoved.
Silence.
"Do you think he has something to do with it?" I asked looking at the girl again.
"I honestly don't know." He told me sighing.
A couple minutes of silence.
"You see that girl over there?"
My father raised an eyebrow at me.
I sighed "Just look."
He turned and watched her.
"What about her?"
I was surprised he didn’t notice. "Look at her eyes."
Eyebrow raised and a tiny smile played on his lips as he turned to looked at them.
"There beautiful." He suggested.
I rolled my eyes. "No, don't you feel something strange? There's something about those eyes... makes me... uneasy."
Dad stood up, "Maybe you should try talking to her sometime. I'll be at the training room if you care to join."
"I'll come later, I'm kinda tired today."
He gave me a quick nod and left.
My attention emidetly turned back to the girl, but when I looked at the store, she was gone.My phone vibrated and I quickly looked down hoping it was Hel,
Hela: I need helpindanger. Come Quick.
Her fast writen message got me sprinting to shield.
