Yesterday had been... eventful.
Nimble fingers dug where his skin had bloomed a dark purple, eyes fluttered as the tingling pain ran up his spine. Seokjin breathed out, a soft sound full of both desire and giddiness.
He was happy for reasons that were new, foreign. He understood them, knew both his wolf and his human sides were relishing in being claimed and carrying the marks of his men. But the knowledge didn't make the realization less scary that he was succumbing to his needs, letting the alphas get too close to the flame in his heart.
It could burn them, he knew that.
"Unless..." his eyes turned sharper, a certain experience and depth in them.
Unless the three carried the same flame in them like Seokjin, unless their lives weren't as far apart as he had thought.
Yesterday was a lot, enough things occupying his brain that the omega didn't have time to process half of it. He looked down, at his hands that had treated their wounds.
Wounds that looked familiar, wounds that he was used to.
"Why are you good at this?"
Jungkook's words echoed in his mind and Seokjin thought of his own question: Why do you have them?
"Seokjin", the omega found in himself to smile a little, albeit strained, when the man in his mind materialized behind him. Jungkook wore his same outfit as every other day and Seokjin now wondered how many knives the man had hidden in his clothing, "how are you?"
The two alphas had already enquired of his health before; Jimin with a warm smile but words lewd enough to make even the omega leader blush, and Taehyung with a desperate kiss but gentle hands that had dressed Seokjin in crop top and black treggings.
He looked marvelous even in his simplicity, as Taehyung had so lovingly whispered.
"Quite sore", he answered, meeting Jungkook's eye in the mirror. He enjoyed the slight duck of the alpha's head, a kind of shyness the others did not possess, "but you already know that."
"And found the solution for it", Jungkook spoke softly and Seokjin noticed the tray he was carrying. It was put down with a light clink against the glass table, bowls of fruit and a tall glass of something pink, "it'll help with your energy and... pain."
Seokjin almost smiled at the hesitant way Jungkook cared for him but he stopped when the alpha turned. The cut on his lip hadn't healed yet, an angry red against the otherwise pink skin. Honey eyes slowly moved down the alpha's, going over every wound hidden under the black clothing.
"We don't want to leave today", Seokjin looked up, unblinking even as Jungkook's eyes carried question and suspicion, "but we have something that cannot be postponed."
Robbery, smuggling, spying, trafficking? Seokjin's eyes stared into Jungkook's as he went down the list in his mind, "It's fine, work comes first."
There was tension in the air that dispelled when Seokjin walked over and placed a soft kiss on the wounded lip, licking the healing cut with a teasing tongue. It made Jungkook sigh, eyes hooded as he watched Seokjin walk over to the food.
Curtain swished in the gentle breeze and the omega picked up the small knife from the tray. He chanced a glance to his side, calm and waiting, "Don't need this."
Hands caught the handle with an eerie precision, the cutlery in the air for barely a second. Jungkook stared down where he was now holding the matte black handle of the fruit knife, a kind of coldness and fear in his eyes when he looked up at the omega.
