"Alright, Amias, you've made 800 love matches, connected 500 red strings, and brought together 350 soulmates today, good job! Remember, just one more meeting and you can finally take your break." Amias checked off three items on his daily list before stretching out the large wings on his back which were tired and sore from flying around all day.
Nearing the Temple entrance, he groaned, longing to be anywhere else but here, preferably somewhere with (Y/n). "I wonder where she is right now? If only Cyrus didn't keep on insisting that all of the major gods have these meetings every month..."
After performing the correct spell to hide his wings, he entered the Temple where said meeting took place every month. "Ok, Amias, let's get this over with. The sooner we finish this, the sooner we get to visit (Y/n)." He smiled at the thought of the beautiful goddess.
However, no sooner had he stepped foot inside the vestibule, he spotted the familiar shine of gold plated armor and the distinctive handle of a battle axe. Freezing at the possibility of being near your presence, he immediately dove behind one of the nearby marble pillars and casted a concealment charm on himself.
He peeked a glance towards the figure, hoping that fate had brought you to him again, and he was proven right. It was you! He could recognize that unmistakable form anywhere, no one in the realms had such an enticing disposition, exuded such power, such beauty and grace, you truly were-
"I know you're there."
His breath hitched at the sound of your voice, were you talking to him?
"You, the one with the poor attempt at a concealment charm, come out from wherever you're hiding."
You were talking to him! He tried to control the raging blush on his cheeks all the while bidding his poor heart to please calm down as he was beginning to feel lightheaded.
Cancelling the concealment charm, he gingerly shuffled away from the safety of the pillar, "H-Hello, (Y/n)!" he inwardly cursed himself for stuttering.
"Amias? Why were you hiding?" you questioned, sounding amused.
You remembered him! And you even said his name! He repressed the squeals threatening to burst out from him. "No reason! I was simply feeling a bit fatigued and I needed some time alone." he replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
"I see." you gestured towards the entrance of the main chamber, "Are you going to attend the meeting as well?"
"Yes!" he cried, before catching himself, "I mean, yes. Would you mind if I entered alongside you?"
"Sure." Your intricate helmet then proceeded to melt into your armor, revealing rich locks and breathtaking eyes.
Just like the moment he first laid eyes on you, Amias thought that time itself had stopped, with only your heavenly image to keep him company as every other insignificant thing fell into the background. He felt that he was almost drowning in the deep infinite pools of your eyes, and what a pleasant death that would be, staring into such beauty before inevitably passing.
Beneath the rigorous pounding of his heart, he could hear a faint voice calling out to him.
"-ias? Are you alright?" you waved your hand in front of the younger god's glassy eyes. He appeared to be in some kind of trance. Perhaps someone had placed a spell on him?
Unbeknownst to you, he was under a spell. Just not the kind of spell that you had in mind.
Amias was roughly brought back to reality when he felt a cold metallic hand grabbing his chin. Wait, metallic? Tracing the hand back to its owner, he saw that it was you grasping his face. You were touching him!
Seeing that you got his attention, you let go, "Now that I have your attention.."
His brain ceased functioning after that, you thought he was ignoring you? But that's impossible! He could never ignore you, his mind revolved around thoughts and images of you nearly everyday! Is that why you had touched him? You wanted his attention?
"Amias? Are you still with me?" Starting to get concerned, you quirked an eyebrow. If the god was always this distracted, there's no telling what kind of dangers might befall him.
Gathering his wits, he said, "Yes, um, sorry. I was pondering on a problem."
"I've noticed." you sardonically commented, not that he noticed. "Now, are we going to the meeting or not? You can continue your pondering here but I don't tolerate being late." Sharply turning away from him, you began walking towards the Temple's main chamber.
"Lead the way!"
