Today was supposed to be another boring, monotonous day filled with completing your duties, looking after your current favored mortals, and squeezing in some time for training.

Unfortunately, however, it seemed that the fates had other plans.

Looking down at the slightly crumpled letter sent to you by your personal messenger, there inside was a short message written in handwriting that you were far too familiar with.

"Tomorrow morning at Cain's, usual time. You better be there, (Y/n)!"

Euna, one of your oldest 'friends', though you slightly hesitate to call her a friend, had urgently called for a so-called 'Meeting of the Horsemen'.

This better be good, you sighed.

Currently, you were walking towards a junction between the domain of life and death in which there was a well-hidden shortcut to the gate of the Underworld. So well-hidden, in fact, that only a few beings knew about the existence of such a gap between the two worlds.

You weren't expecting to run into anyone hence the slight tinge of apprehension you felt when you sensed a faint presence behind you.

A wandering soul perhaps? I hope it's not one of the gatekeepers slacking off again.

"Wait for me, (Y/n)!"

Oh? You would know that voice anywhere by now.

"(Y/n)!"

Halting in your tracks, you turned to glance at a certain blond-haired god.

"I didn't see you this morning. Where were you?" Amias pouted while giving you sad puppy eyes.

"I was working."

"Ehhh?" He whined, grabbing your waist in a tight hug. "Aren't you done yet? I miss you!"

Sighing, you patted his head. His hugs had become a daily occurrence for you and, as such, you had grown immune to his lack of attention to personal space. You chose to tolerate it though, thinking that it was one of your duties as his senior colleague to accept his eccentricities.

Pushing away his face, which he was currently nuzzling into your neck, you intoned, "I was asked to attend a meeting in the Underworld."

"The Underworld? Eh?! What for?"

Pausing for a few seconds, you wondered whether you should tell him. Seeing the almost puppy-like determination on his face, however, made you decide that it would probably be harmless to let him know.
