Veronica's POV
My ex is yelling and screaming. My back pressed against the wet wall of the bar. It's a blur. I've ran and ran forever. He hit my a few time too. Everything a blur. My ears are ringing. A woman comes around the back or the bar. Yelling at him to leave. I cant make out what she says. But I know its Adele. He runs away. She turns to me with open arms. I fall into them and cry. I fall asleep in her arms.
Adeles POV
Shes in my arms. Asleep now. I lift her and carry her back to the car. I carefully sit her in the passenger side and put her seatbelts on. I drive her back to my place. I get out of the car and go to the passenger side door and open. She barley awake. But now on the light I can see he did hit her. She moans. "Shhhhh it's ok. I've got you." She lightly nods. I carry her bridal style into my house. I left the door open so it was easy. When we get inside I realize NONE of my guest beds are made. I just was washing them. I'll put her in my room. I get upstairs and into my room. I carefully lay her down and cover her. She opens her eyes. "Thank you" she manages. Before falling asleep again. I go back to my kitchen. After todays excitement I'll chill and watch TV for a bit. After 2 episodes of Well random shit my phone blows up.

Yes I'm good.
She calls me. "Hey." I say "donut! Your ok I saw someone carrying a woman into your house." She says. "Yea something happened. Veronicas ex was chasing her and hitting her. So I went and got her" I say. She goes quiet. "Alright a sling as your Ok." "Yep I'm good" I respond. She hangs up.

I look at the clock. 12:30. I should go to bed. I go up to my room and check on Veronica. Shes still asleep. I grab a blanket from my close to sleep on the couch. I shut off the lamp before leaving her.
