I'm pretty sure I sobbed myself to sleep for a couple minuets, because my eyes were wet. I was still in Medbay. Without my boyfriend. Dang. I was laying there for a couple more minutes, still feeling like crap-until I heard a sound. It sounded like a scream... and the sound was coming my way!
"Shhh, shhh, you're okay honey, mommy's making it better.." Mother said. The "scream" was just Franklin crying. I think mother sat him on a bed, and turned on a lamp.
"Player?! What are you doing here?" She said, surprised. "I'm sick. What are you doing here??"
"Aw, sorry to hear that, sweetie. I'm here, because Franklin got a bit wild, and hurt his leg bad." Mother replied. She put Franklin gently on the Medbay scanner. He was limping and stumbling, while mother was keeping him still, and taking him off. She looked at the results. And she started wrapping a bandage around Franklin, he was sitting on the bed. Wow.
"How didja know how to do that...?" I asked.
"OH! Well, when Timmy was in school, I was a school nurse!"
"how come you didn't tell me?!"
"You didn't ask! now, how are you feeling sweetie?" Franklin didn't anser. Was she talking about me?!
"not great, actually. I have a pretty bad fever..."
"Aw, hon, let me see..." Mother said, as she put her hand on my forehead. "Oh my, that is pretty high! Do you want me to get you anything?"
I thought for a sec. An extra blanket could be pretty nice. "A blanket...?" I asked.
"Sure, sweetheart. But you seem to be roasting..." Mother said, as sweat trickled down my forehead, on cue. But, I was cold, okay? Mother came back with a blanket, and something in a mug. When she brought the Blanket towards me, I saw that in the mug, it was tea. Was it supposed to smell that strong?
"Thanks, but the tea smells to strong."
"I don't smell anything, hon. Aw, I think that things smelling bad is just another thing about being sick. Is there anything else you need?" Mother said.
"Ohh." I said, with a yawn. Just then Mother got a book, and started reading it to her boys.
"once upon a time, there was a little boy named Bob. Bob needed to go to his grandma's house to bring her some flowers..." I yawned and rolled over. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep...
