CHLOE-FOCUSED CHAPTER
Chloe Seigfried looked at her phone. In her head, she was hoping to god that it was finally 8pm so she could get out of her job at the record store she hated so much. It's not that she hated records, she actually owned several of them, she just hated the general ambiance of Nights, the record store on Franklin Drive she hated so much. It was always dark in there, they kept all the good records in the back so that consumers (whom her boss called "little greedies") couldn't get to them, and it just seemed like everything went wrong. When she did get a chance to check her phone, after a lengthy transaction of some mom debating between Blond by Frank Ocean and In Rainbows by Radiohead to surprise her son with, Chloe realized it was finally 8pm and she left the record store to go back to the apartment building she lived in. When she got back to the apartment building, she got ready to take a shower (not before turning on her favorite band, BTS) and go to bed. When she got out of the shower, she lied down and called her friend Sam, who should have been on her break at the record store right about now. She wasn't answering, so she decided to text.
CHLOE
Hey Sam hru?
SAM

Some guy has been haggling with Melissa for 20 minutes for a Channel Orange vinyl
CHLOE

SAM

CHLOE
Just take a break then
Well ima go to bed
Night Sam
SAM
Night Chloe
The thing is, Chloe didn't actually go to bed yet. She was texting with someone else. Some guy she had met at the record store that gave her his number. That guy's name was Jacob Minette. He said he would be coming into the record store tomorrow to pick up something, specifically from Chloe. But at this point in the night, Chloe didn't want to think about anything but sleep, so the night ended on a rather abrupt note for her.
