Ashlyn's P.O.V.

I think my whole perception of love has been altered.
What an asshole.
I mean sure Nini was a bitch, but I don't exactly think it makes Eej much better to have a new girlfriend less then a week after she cheated on him.
At least show some sadness and grief over losing not only someone who's your girlfriend but your best friend for your ENTIRE LIFE.
I watched E.J. and Nini grow up together, I stayed up late listening to them laugh and wishing they'd finally kiss already, then they got together and we're the cutest couple you could imagine.
I always wanted someone who'd talk about me the way E.J. talks about Nini, he's OBCESSED with her and it's obvious he loves her - or at least he did.
Now what the hell?!
He's got a girlfriend who I've never seen in my life.
He's holding her hand and calling her babe and E.J. isn't a player. Not even close. He's timid and shy about ALL things romantic, in spite of being a hopeless romantic.
I just don't get it.
Where's the sadness that she's gone?
This just isn't E.J. and yet I saw it with my own eyes. What will Sophie think? I mean she's going through so much already and she was as big of a fan of E.J. and Nini as I am. Oh and our parents? They only know E.J. and Nini broke up because Sophie and I told them.
I need to cool down.
I need to cool down and then go for a long walk with my cousin who at the moment is not worthy of the title of brother and talk this out.
Or better yet? Maybe this so called girlfriend of his… Gina Porter.
I'll just corner her during lunch and interrogate her.
Unless she's a bitch and a wicked good actress she'll give me some straight answers and hey, I'm a human lie detector.
