"I just assaulted you." San gasped, his eyes wide and his mouth in a shocked O shape. He backed up until his back hit the wall behind him. "I - I'm so sorry." He stuttered and bolted down the hallway.
It was as if someone had cast a cooling charm on Wooyoung, tapped him on the top of the head as it made its way down his neck and burst into his heart, then made its way down his arms and chest until it incasted his whole body. The discomfort on San's face as he backed away continued to flash through Wooyoung's head as he stood there alone in the hall.
His feet ached to run after him, to reason with him. But to reason with what? He didn't assault him because Wooyoung had been enjoying himself when San had been drugged? No, he couldn't say that. He had thought something was off hadn't he? He had tried to stop it. But what if he hadn't been fast enough because he didn't realize at first what was happening? He had let his emotions cloud his judgement.
His heart was pounding. How long had he secretly imagined standing in San's arms, taking his face in his hands and pressing their lips together? Too long and now because of his own house, San was sure to never speak to him again.
And the look in his eyes. Nothing good would come from Wooyoung chasing after him right now. Wooyoung pulled his hand through his hair. His palms resting on either side of his head as he pressed down on his temples. His eyes darted around the hall until they landed on the book he had been carrying out of the library. He picked up the volume of "Magical Herbs and Potions" from where it lay open, discarded, on the floor.
Except, he was under the influence of some potion. If he ran across anyone else, someone might take advantage of his state. What if he hit his head on the way back to his dorms or couldn't find his way back?
They didn't know what they were drugged with and what the effects would be, they all needed to see Madam Pomfrey as soon as possible.
That finally decided Wooyoung's warring mind. His heart leaped in excitement and Wooyoung tried to reason with it. He just wanted to make sure San was alright. He wouldn't talk to him.
He had no right.
Wooyoung jogged to the great hall, sure that if San had stopped somewhere along the way he could find him. Up and up he went with no sign of San.
When he arrived at the large portrait of the Fat Lady he halted with his hands on his knees in front of the portrait. "Did-" he gasped trying to catch his breath. "Did a boy just come in? He has black hair with a streak of white on the front."
"Were you chasing him? He seemed to be running from something." The Fat Lady asked, curiously peaking over the top of her fan.
"No I just want to make sure he's alright." But the Fat Lady's words were confirmation enough. San had ran here and into the Portrait hole. "Listen, can you get Hongjoong for me? He's head boy."
"Surely I will not. It is past curfew and you should return to your common room. Whatever you need to say it can wait until morning."
"No it can't." He didn't have time to stand here arguing with a portrait. Someone needed to warn the gryffindors or make sure that they went to the Hospital Wing. "Never mind."
San ran down the hall to Professor Longbottom's office. He burst through the door and stormed to the back wall where another door lead to Professor Longbottom's personal quarters.
"Professor! Professor, it's urgent!" Wooyoung banged his fist against the door repeatedly.
"Why are you trying to bang down my door?" Professor Longbottom opened his door. His robe was thrown over striped blue and white pajamas, his slippers still in his hand as he squinted at Wooyoung. "Don't you have your own head of house to bother in the middle of the night?"
