Prologue

Liana Mercado and Maria Castillo were the best of friends even until their adulthood. Leona was married to Jake Novoa while Maria was married to Francisco Alonso. In fact, they were each other's maid of honor in their weddings. Though they have their separate lives, they continued to be friends and even lived in the same road just like their plans as little third graders. They never thought that one day, they would become serious about it. Also, since they often bond, Francisco and Jake (sort of) bonded through the process as well.

Years later, Liana and Maria coincidentally gave birth to their children on the same day. On 26 February 1999, Leona Mercado-Novoa gave birth to wizard Jax M. Novoa. About an hour later, Maria Castillo-Alonso gave birth to the new Chosen One, Emma C. Alonso.

Francisco and Maria's first son, Luke Alonso, was very happy to have a new sibling to play with, but his visions aren't. Lucas was gifted with a special sense on his first birthday that allows him to sense when something is nearby danger. He sees visions from time to time and as a youngster he still is, he doesn't understand much of it.

Months later, baby Emma was at risk of disintegrating due to the evil Chosen One looking to take her away. Jake also found out that his son is not as much of a powerful wizard as he thought, thus disappointed by his expectations. "Hmm," he thought, "Maybe Maria's daughter can help me with this."
