Cordelia was sat in bed, she had cleaned the blood from her nose and was glad to be feeling even the slightest bit better. She hated seeing the coven worry about her, she was their supreme, she was supposed to be strong. She wished she had the courage of Fiona. She admired how, whatever the circumstances, she always managed to remain tough. She did not wish to end up like her mother though, bitter and vengeful. Although she was an undeniably great witch, her lack of warmth and affection meant she was never a good mother. Cordelia smiled wistfully, she had never been sentimental about her mother, however it was times like these in which she yearned for a mentor, for someone to help guide her through the confusion. If she were here she would've relied on Myrtle for that, a tear rolled down her cheek. If it weren't for Myrtles nobility, maybe she would of been here right now, maybe Cordelia wouldn't have been so scared. Misty's arrival and her accident had both worried and confused her. How is it that a witch doomed to spend the rest of eternity in hell suddenly shows up on their doorstep? And how is it so soon that a new supreme is rising. She knew it was that that caused her fainting spell, there was no other explanation for it. Mallory had already caught her eye as a talented witch but the speed in which she was progressing was unbelievable, not to mention her having only joined the coven recently. But why so soon, it had only been a year since Cordelia became supreme, the thought of a new supreme rising now had never occurred to her. She stared blankly at the wall, she had never contemplated what would happen if she faded this quickly. 'Why now?' she thought, why right when things are looking up, why right when she finally got Misty back. She had no time to ponder this thought though as Misty then entered the room with a cup of tea in her hand. A wave of relief passed through Cordelia's body as Misty entered the room. She couldn't bare to face anyone right now but for some reason she found Misty's presence comforting. She sat down on the bed next to Cordelia before handing her the cup. "How are you feeling?" she asked. "A bit better" Cordelia replied as she sipped her tea. "What is it?" Cordelia asked. Misty paused for a moment before replying. "Lipton's" she said with a smirk. They locked eyes as Misty let out a giggle causing Cordelia to do so too. As their eyes met, Misty noticed how she had never seen Cordelia's real eyes before. They were a deep chocolaty brown, but more obviously, they were beautiful. Finally Misty broke the gaze, a flutter of butterflies going through her stomach, she had longed to see Cordelia when she was in hell, she was positive there was no way out, yet some part of her still dreamed of seeing Cordelia again. Cordelia noticed Misty's wistful expression, "Are you alright?" she asked. "Yes. Yes I am, sorry" Misty said breaking from her trance and giving Cordelia a weak smile. "I knew for such a short time, and I've missed you forever" Cordelia said with great sincerity, cupping Misty's face with her hands. A tear rolled down Misty's face. "I was so scared" she said, trying to hold back more tears. "I know" Cordelia said pulling her into an embrace. "I know.". She couldn't even begin to imagine how Misty was feeling after what she'd been through. Cordelia broke the embrace to look at Misty. "But you're here now. You are here." she said, running her fingers through Misty's curly blonde hair. They eyes met once again for what felt like eternity. "I should probably go to bed, I'm pretty tired" Misty said breaking the silence. "You should probably get some rest too, after what happened" Misty added. "Right. Of course right" Cordelia said, suddenly flustered. "The spare bed already has clean sheets so you don't have to worry about making it or anything." Cordelia said as Misty got up and walked over. "Perfect" she said, turning back to smile at Cordelia before getting into bed. Cordelia turned the light off and pulled up the blanket. "Goodnight Misty, I'm so glad you're back." she said, and she meant it, even though the day had Cordelia worried, she still found peace in Misty's return. As Misty got into bed she mulled over the days events, trying to wrack her brain as to how she arrived here. Still nothing. She knew it was unlikely she would be able to remember so she decided to just try and go to sleep and put her mind at ease. She noticed Cordelia still awake staring at the ceiling intently "Thank you." Misty said. Cordelia turned to face her. "For wh-" she started before Misty cut her off. "For everything." She flashed a smile before rolling over to fall asleep leaving Cordelia confused yet giddy before she as well rolled over to sleep.
