"Everybody loves movies. They don't just tell stories they transport us to worlds. They are inspirational. They provide comfort, they help us escape from our day-to-day anxieties." Mr. Schue explains.

"Like getting left at the altar?" Kitty says and we all turn to her.

"Too soon." Ryder comments.

"That's a damn shame." I add.

"Exactly. Or are you guys case study for exams or worrying about regionals. In any case for this weeks assignment you pick your favorite songs from your favorite movies." Mr. Schue announces and we all cheer.

"Unique knows all there is to know about the crying game." Unique tells us.

"Oh I've been waiting to do Pretty Woman ever since I stepped in the choir room." I tell them.

"You don't get dibs on Les Mis just because you are the poster." Kitty says to Marley.

"Finally I can do my Nicolas cage impression. Oh no not the bees! No! The bees! No!" Sam exclaims.

"That is the worst Nicolas Cage in person I have ever seen." Kitty comments.

"Do you even know who Nicolas Cage is?" Artie asks.

"Y'all can get off my best friend now." I tell them.

"OK, it's not that simple guys. This is a group competition boys against girls and we are doing mash ups. Now remember movies are visuals. So it's not just about the singing it's about the performance, it's about theatricality, it's about the language of cinema." Mr. Schue explains.

"Preach. And as I move into my first micro budget feature. I am happy to offer style rules to which ever team wins. No trailers, no Per diem." Artie says and we all cheer.

I was at my locker with Jake, Marley, Sam and Tina talking and Blaine and Brittany walks up to all of us.

"Guys Brittany and I were talking and we agreed that though we love that it's mashup week it's sucks that the guys and the girls can do a number together, so we were thinking just as a warm-up we should do the guys versus girls are the same number to get things off." Blaine explains.

"And then girls kick the boys butt." Brittany says and we five five.

"Vice versa. Which is my favorite Fred Savage movie." Blaine says.

"Well it would have to be the perfect movie song do you know like dream warriors from nightmare on Elm Street three" Sam suggest.

"Or It Must have been love from Pretty Woman. Or Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing." I tell them.

"Yeah no." Blaine shoots down my idea.

"You know what you don't appreciate my taste." I tell them.

"Or wind beneath my wings from beaches." Marley adds.

"Ooh I love that movie." I tell her.

"No no no no no. How about this the perfect movie song totally iconic and everyone loves it a little dirty from the seminal American college comedy Animal House." Blaine says.

"I hope they mash up bat dance with Howard the duck." Sugar says excitedly.

"Shh." Tina tells her.
