Todd stopped in his tracks— tired from his continues rapid pacing and the frustration overwhelming inside him and faced Jim, tears still finding their way down his now slightly-swollen eyes.

“Go on” he croaked out.

Jim sighed and after what felt like minutes looked up at his heartbroken boyfriend.

“Okay. Me and a couple of other cast and crew went for drinks the other night.” A lump began to form in Parson's throat. “Well, as you know, i try to avoid drinking more than three beers because of my past but i was caught up in the moment and I've forgotten. I got tipsy on my fifth one.”

Jim inhaled another huge gulp of air and continued. “Sam, one of the stage advisor's offered to help me get home but one thing led to another and I can't really remember the rest but I woke up at a motel room.”

Todd pressed his lips together tightly to keep himself from crying any harder than he already was.  Each word was like a slap to his face. This is why Jim didn't come home until morning.

“Did he go to your dressing room to meet you?” Todd asked. Like it matters he thought. Like it changes anything.

Jim stared at him puzzled for a bit but then remembered the note. That damn note that was still on their bed.

“No. No, Todd, i wouldn't dare.” he cried desperate to not lose his true love. “I was drunk last week. I was vulnerable and stupid and careless. Todd, I would never purposely cheat or hurt you”. Now it was Jim trying to hold back his tears but failed.

Todd stared at the pleading man in front of him. “I should go”

“Please don't” Jim sobbed. “Please don't leave me, Todd. I love you.”

“I love you too” Todd sighed and fell to his knees, weak and drained emotionally.

His boyfriend quickly got off the bed and wrapped himself around the man that means the entire world to him.

“Please stay.” Jim cried again holding Todd tighter.

“Please”
