I spent the next couple of hours in my room doing absolutely nothing productive but it was almost time to leave, Sam told us to meet in the car park of shady side mall at six.
"Dad?" I called out, no response, "Ethan where's dad?"
"I dunno, is his car still hear?"
"Yeah, I checked before."
"Then I don't know now can you go, I'm busy."
"Doing what?" I scoffed scanning his bed side table, I noticed a bottle sitting there and then realised one hand was under his covers, "ew what the fuck Ethan!" I said throwing the nearest object at him and leaving his room.
I headed towards the living room when dad appeared out of no where.
"I..where did you come from?" I said looking behind him.
"The kitchen?" He said pointing over his shoulder with his thumb.
"Right... anyways, can you take me?"
"Take you where?"
"To the mall? I told you about it this morning."
"Oh, right yeah sorry." He seemed hesitant but we got into the car and drove off.
"Well have fun and promise me you'll stay safe, alright?" He said watching as I got out of the car.
"I will."
"Okay good, I love you."
"Love you too" I closed the door and searched the car park for the others, Simon was the first one I spotted. He must have seen me too because he jogged his way over and engulfed me into a hug. We greeted each other and met up with Deena, Sam and later Kate.
"Howdy" Simon said greeting the others, Deena's younger brother Josh had come too.
We headed in the mall and had a look in a few different stores, nothing caught my attention. Kate bought a cute shirt and a pair of jeans and Sam bought a new sweater while Deena wasted her money on lollies and other random items with Simon and Josh.
"Shall we get something to eat?" I asked the group.
"Yes I'm starving" Josh said, Deena glared at him and he shut his mouth and stared at the floor.
"Don't be so harsh D" I said punching Deena gently on the shoulder, we headed for the food court.
"Guys look, it's Ryan" Kate said pointing at the figure walking towards us and waving . We all stopped and waved back, waiting for Ryan to catch up.
"Yo Ryan my man, how are you?!" Simon said hugging him.
"Yeah not too bad, feel in' a bit off but it should pass" he said, "anyways, what are you guys up too? It's pretty late."
"Getting food, you coming?" Deena said.
"Ah no, I mean Id love too but I've got things to finish up."
We said goodbye to Ryan and ordered our food for the the night. Once we finished we made our way towards the exit.
"Wait..." Sam said examining the mall, "where is everyone?"
"Odd" I said looking around for myself, I spotted a figure in the distance coming towards us. I squinted my eyes to get a closer look only to realise they were wearing a skeleton costume. No one else had seem to see them, soon enough they gained speed and began running towards Deena.
"Shit! Deena look out!" I yelled running at Deena and pushing her out the way. The figure wrapped their arms around me and I screamed, the others were all in shock but still aware.
"Dammit! Get off me you freak!" I yelled at them, they gave no signal that they understood me. Simon tried pulling them off me but more figures appeared in each of the hallways, they made their way over to us too.
"What the fuck?!!" Kate said looking at the people who began circling us.
"Call the police!" I ordered still struggling, "shit, shit, SHIT!" The person who had me in their grasp had pulled a knife from no where.
The other people had now closed in around us, one person on one of the others, Josh looked like he'd seen a ghost.
"Josh!? Do you know something?" I called out.
"I- Yeah! I don't understand they're supposed to be dead!" Josh said.
"What are you talking about?!" Simon called, some creepy looking man with a half melted looking face was now trying to grab him.
"They're the Shadyside killers, Milkman, Ruby Lane, the Night-Wing killer, the Humpty Dumpty killer, and the grifter!" He said pointing to each person.
He was right, I recognised most of them but how!? My thoughts were interrupted as the person holding me threw me against the ground.
"Ow! What the fuck" I groaned, I felt the back of my head and felt blood. From this angle I had a better look the person on top of me, the body shape and height were familiar.
"No fucking way! Ryan is that you?"
"What?" Sam, Deena and Kate said at once.
I grabbed at the mask and pulled it off, sure enough it was Ryan but he didn't look right... almost zombie like, his eyes were slightly blurred and his skin was pale.
He lifted the hand holding the knife and brought it down straight at my chest. I caught him by the arm but he was quite strong.
"Ryan stop! Please you're scaring me!" I shouted. The sounds of sirens echoed through the building. My arms felt weak struggling against his weight, I tried adjusting my grip but regretted it immediately. A sharp piercing pain ruptured through my body.
"Holy shit!" I screamed, the others were yelling out and struggling against their holders, Ryan went to strike again pulling out and raising his arm again, I tried to stop him again but I was weaker this time.
He stabbed me in the side and the same burning pain shot through me, another scream left my mouth and I could taste blood building in my mouth. Ryan stabbed me another three times, I couldn't lift my arms, I couldn't scream, I couldn't say anything, I wanted to tell the others something but I couldn't think, the pain was too strong. A gun shot fired and Ryan collapsed on top of me.
"Shit! Em, stay with me please!" Dad said dropping his gun and pushing Ryan off me, I tried to look around, the killers were gone and everyone was crowding around me. I heard a few things but I was too weak to do anything, and soon enough everything went dark, the noise shut out and everything was quiet.
