They said speak now
"If any man can show just cause why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter for ever hold his peace."
I felt my heart thumping through my chest. My hands began to get sweaty as I wiped them across my dress. I took a deep breath and stood up as I yelled, "Stop!"
"Lillian? What are you doing?" My mother whispered tugging the edge of my dress, trying to persuade me to sit back down. I pushed her hand away and opened my mouth to say why Eliza and Andrew should not forever hold their peace.
I saw Andrew flash a smile at me and felt butterflies start to form in my stomach. His blue and green eyes examined my face. I felt myself blush and momentarily forgot the scene that I had caused. Eliza stared at me, her eyes full of hatred and jealousy. Her wedding gown fit her perfectly, it made her even more beautiful. The white dress had thin straps and showed her back and it hugged her hips. I felt all eyes on me as I opened my mouth to speak.
But back to the point - let’s start from the beginning.
