The next day you woke up to Your legs gliding across your bed sheets while you stretched. You opened your eyes immediately remembering you had to get up to leave at 11.

You grab your phone off your nightstand while on your way to leave your room. Even though the dorm was slightly dim, it was obvious the sun already came up at it was still pretty early in the morning.

You turn around and close the door behind you with your right hand, making sure to not make any loud noises and walked to the bathroom. All of the lights were still off so you assumed Pieck was still sleeping. As you walked into the bathroom you opened your phone. You had a missed call from mom and other notifications from YouTube and a few other social media's. As you grabbed your tooth booth brush you called your mom back then sitting your phone up by the sink. The phone rang for a few seconds before it answered.

You applied toothpaste on the brush. "Hey ma," You said look looking down at the phone.

"Hey baby" She replied. You hadn't spoke to your mom much since you got onto campus. You figured it was best to learn things on your own and go through your own experiences. With classes and homework you hadn't had much time to talk to her anyway.

From her background you could tell she was in her office. You wet the brush rush before bring it up to your mouth and brushing.

"What are you getting ready for this early?" She says, you watched her stop typing and a smile form onto her lips. You brushed for a few more seconds before removing the brush and responding.

"Me and Pieck are going out to eat," You continued brushing. You run your hand across your forehead before looking back down at the screen. "That sounds nice, where are you two going?" You could hear the clicking of keyboards and ringing phones in the background. You thought for a minute before bringing the brush to your mouth once again.

"Uh I'm not not really sure, she's picking." You say.

You rinse your mouth and turn off the sink. You pick your phone off the counter prior to drying your hands off. Your mom was nice to talk to. Sure you two had different opinions, but at the end of the day you still loved her. Anyone could tell that the both of you were close. It's like one of those friendships where you can go days without talking and nothing changed. Although, of course, She was your mom. Meaning you still had your ups and downs sometimes.

"Alright, well have fun. Send me a picture of the food." She said picking her phone up and blowing a kiss.

"Mk, love you." You watch her wave as she hangs up the call. You yawn and start walking back into your room checking your phone time. I knew it was a bit late but 10:00, geez. And your telling me this woman isn't awake yet.

"PIECK!" You yell stopping by the kitchen. You sit you phone on the counter and walk over to the girls room. You knock and then open the door to see Pieck lying on her bed.

"Pieck get up." You yawn. She girl groans and turns her head towards the door. "It's 10:00." You tell her.

"Mh fine," She sighs. You wait for her to stand up and then you walk to your to change. You spend the rest of the time fixing your hair and getting ready. You decide between a black or brown purse and slide your shoes on. Just as you pick up your phone to exit the room Pieck walks in. "Ready?" She ask. "Yeah" you say turning off your light exiting the room with her.

You both agree on you driving Piecks car. "So.. where are we going" You say buckling your seat belt. You watch Pieck connect her phone to the car, "You'll see just follow the GPS" She reclines her seat and gets comfortable. You pull the gear in reverse and pull off. You both sat in comfortable silence since the drive was only 15 minutes. When you got there you realized you guys were at the Pancake house. "Why didn't you just tell me we were going to the Pancake house?" You laughed. "The excitement." She says doings Jazz hands. You both get out the car and walk into the lit up restaurant.
