Warriors Paws of Courage (Reader's Adventure)

~Chapter One~ Something Lurks in the Mountains

You woke up on the soft bed of moss in your den, some of the other apprentices were still still asleep

(Y/N)'S POV: It's a nice day to go hunting, I think I'll go see if Shardwing is awake. I stretched out before I stepped out of the cave, my pads touching the cold hard stone beneath my paws as I padded to the warriors den. As you continue to walk towards the warriors den, you saw a small patrol of three cats leaving the cave 'probably hunting' you thought to yourself as you got closer to the warriors den. You saw a white she-cat emerge from the den, her silver tabby stripes seem to glow in the dimly lit cave. She turned and saw you as you were approaching.

"(Y/N)? Your up early" the she-cat commented
"I wanted to go hunting Shardwing" you replied as you flicked your tail a bit. You looked at Shardwing and saw amusement in her eyes "(Y/N) your not even experienced enough to hunt efficiently yet"
You rolled your eyes as she continued "We can't go yet, the morning patrol has to make sure the big claws are not close by"
You sighed as Shardwing padded away towards the shrinking pile of fresh-kill, you saw a gray tom walking towards the training area followed by a white tom with brown markings. You decided to watch the training and jumped on a nearby rock, a gray she-cat with white markings joined you moments later.
"Hi (Your name), decided to come watch Smokepaw's training?" She asked as she sat beside me. "Yeah, Shardwing said I have to wait until the morning patrol gets back before I can go hunt"
The gray she-cat sniffed "That big claw has been sneaking around our territory so much it scares off our prey and- Oh look! They're starting" she flicked her tail as I turned my attention to the two toms.

The gray tom slowly flicked his tail left and right, he narrowed his eyes at the enemy in front of him. Then he leapt at him with a loud "Ha!" But the tom in front of him dodged him with ease as the gray tom sailed past him, the white tom snorted in amusement as he leapt on the gray tom, pinning him down. "Nice pounce Smokepaw, but you were way too slow and predictable" The gray tom tried to wriggle from under the white tom but he kept him pinned down. "You two having fun?" I asked while trying to keep from laughing, the two toms looked at me and the gray and white she-cat. "Y/N? Feather paw? Where are your mentors?" Featherpaw sat up and licked her paw "Riverpelt went out on the morning patrol and-" she looked at me. "Shardwing said I could watch the practice!" I quickly filled in. It was half truth but who cares? The white tom nodded and they continue the practice for a bit.

"Ok, trainings over for now, go get some fresh-kill" The white tom told Smokepaw before heading off. Featherpaw leapt down from the rock and I followed suit. "Hey Smokepaw, when would they let us go hunting?" Featherpaw asked Smokepaw. He shook his head "I don't know, but we will find out when the patrol gets back". You looked at the cave entrance and noticed the snow falling heavier and the sky growing dark. "Hopefully they will be back soon, it looks like a storm is coming" you said, Featherpaw and Smokepaw nodded in agreement.

Featherpaw, Smokepaw and I had some fresh-kill (or what little we could get), we where sitting by the warriors den chatting away about a bunch of random things I can't remember. Smokepaw rested his head on his paws and Featherpaw was grooming herself when she suddenly stopped and looked up. You followed her gaze as Smokepaw did the same, it seems like the whole clan was looking at what caught Featherpaw's attention.

Three cats covered in snow entered the cave, they shook the snow off them as a tall muscular black and white tom approached them. "What have you found out?" He asked in his deep voice, the gray and black she-cat looked at him before speaking. "We found something but it would be best if we talk to you in private"
"Very well" the black and white tom replied before turning and headed to his den, the three cats followed.

I was curious and wanted to find out more,
I heard Featherpaw and Smokepaw whispering to each other and I got up and ran towards the den.

This is the end of chapter one guys! I hope you enjoyed it, sorry if it was a bit boring to start off but we are getting there! I'm bad when it comes to starting a story actually (XD)
