(Phoebe's pov)
When I woke up I started packing things into my bottomless bag that Leo so conveniently sent me a few weeks ago. I pack all of my clothes and shoes excepts for my outfit today. I brush my shoulder length blonde hair out and let it rest against my shoulders. Then I pull on a tight black tank top and some black jean shorts that rest upper thigh. I run to my bathroom and brush my teeth then throwing my tooth brush and tooth paste into my bag. I put my contacts into my dark brown eyes; stopping to look into them. Many people look at my eyes and call them black, but in truth they are dark brown with light brown flecks. I giggle at the thought of how the first time Percy saw my eyes. He looked at them like they were the only thing that was normal! Well ok he's right my eyes are the only thing I got from Hades really and my happiness and pure heart is shining through them already in specks, but he hasn't seen me mad because Hades gave me one more thing with my eyes. When I get mad they turn a blood red color that makes people back off out of fear. People called me a freak and an idiot and crazy all the time because of it! I shake those thoughts out of my head because I will break down just thinking about it. Percy could think that too! No! Phoebe! No! I tie my tennis shoes and jog back into my bed room. I put 300 extra contacts into my bag and solution and stuff too. I pack my brush and deodarent. I start to zip up my bag when I remember I need my message board too! I grab it and stuff it inside along with markers for it then finish zipping it up. I throw it on my back and jog out of my room and tripped. I fall onto the floor and let out a grunt looking around for what tripped me. I spot my black cat, Ash, and I instantly feel guilty. I forgot Hades taught me how to talk to animals and when I look at my cat he starts meowing vigorously to me.
(The animals will have '...' Around their words and she will have "...")
'Where do you think you're going?!'
"I, uh... I just have to go I can't keep putting others in danger and myself too!" I try to explain.
'I know, I know I know I know! I'm just not ready for you to leave! How are you gonna get out of here and not come back! You will worry the family!'
"Hades hired someone to wipe their memories and I need to be find before then. I need to make them think I'm safe a sound and happy so they can continue on without having the feeling that something is seriously wrong. He is going to make me disappear forever." I say quietly just above a whisper.
'Oh... Well then I guess this is goodbye... I love you Phoebe and I will never forget you. No matter what that god does to the family!' Ash rubs against my leg and purrs into my hand. I hug him and walk away. I couldn't tell him that animals won't remember either. I couldn't break his heart. I walk downstairs and say goodbye to my parents and brothers and walk outside to the park. I told them I was going to paint some trees and birds and that I would be back later. I get to the park and Hades and Dark Storm are already waiting for me.
"Dark Storm knows the way to CHB and will take you there now. I will keep in touch and if you ever need anything just ask. I'm always here for you darling." My dad says while hugging me, and all I can do is hug back. I jump on to Dark Storm and he starts to run into the shadows. I take a deep breath and let the shadows take me away. Everything is dark for a second but as soon as it started it stopped and I was at the top of a huge hill looking down onto a cluster of cabins. I sigh realizing this is home.
I sigh realizing this is gonna be like being in a new school... People always treating me like I need help and I don't! I start to walk down the hill when someone tackles me from behind. I turn over under the person and look up into Jason's electric blue eyes enlarged by his glasses. I giggle and sit up pushing him off of me.
"What was that for?!" I say while trying to stop laughing.
"I missed you! You didn't text me this morning as usual!" Jason says with puppy dog eyes.
"Well duh! I was on my way here!" I choke out between laughs. He nods and helps me up. I ask where Percy is and he wiggles his eyebrows and says probably still in bed. I run down the hill and notice the Stoll's about to knock on his door. I ask what they are up to and they tell me they changed Percy's clock to say he's late and his alarm didn't work and he will freak out and run to the arena in panic. I laugh and ask if I can be the one to knock on the door. They nod and go hide in the bush. I walk up his front stairs and onto the porch, I knock on the door super loudly.
"Percy! You're late!!!! What are you doing in there?!" I say super loud. I hear a crash and some shuffling. The door slams open and Percy runs out super fast and towards the arena. I stand there laughing for a second then I shadow travel into the shadows I the far side of the arena. I smile at Percy's confused face once he arrives.
"Ya know I think I'm gonna like it here!" I say to Percy before he sees me.
"Phoebe?! You're here?! Where are you?!" He says looking around wildly.
"I'm right here Percy!" I whisper while tapping on his shoulder. He spun around and wrapped his long arms around me lifting me up and spinning me through the air! I giggle and hugged him back.
We spend the rest of the day laughing and running around camp looking at different things. He showed me everything excepts the forest. I know why but I still wish he would show me.... That night after dinner and curfew I decide it's time to sneak out. I grab my message board and a pink marker and shadow travel to the center of the forest. I climb a really creepy looking tree and get comfortable. I turn on my message board and start a chat between me and Percy.
