when jake said to the other male that he could try to make it faster he didn’t expect himself to dress up for a date. and the young one specifically said it was a date.
he looked at himself in the mirror for the ninth time that noon. he exited from the house and took a long breath before going out seriously. there was sunghoon waiting for him. he was even more handsome than usual. he was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a long beige and black coat.
“hyung you’re here!” sunghoon exclaimed happy and a little bit surprised. he was scared that the boy would not come, even if he was in front of his house.
“yes.” he said with a smile too. “we can go now.” he added starting to walk next to the younger.
“it’s cold... my hands are freezing.” jake whispered to himself. but sunghoon heard it. he took his hand in his own. it was a tricky and maybe even stupid move, but he felt like doing it. he wasn't that impulsive but when it came to jake it was all different.
surprisingly, jake didn’t move his hand away and they continued in silence with their hands interwied to each other.
the boys arrived in front of a diner. they both entered still holding hands and sat down calling for a waiter. only when they sat down they had to courage to remove their hands from the other's grasp. they both ordered and were overwhelmed by an awkward silence that lasted a few minutes until jake opened his mouth to talk.
“how did you find this place? there are not a lot of people but it is so good.” he complimented the diner looking around. it wasn’t even cold anymore thanks to the hot air in the diner.
“one time i argued with my mom, i walked away from home and walked until i found this place. and you already think it’s good, but you haven't even had the food!” sunghoon said excited smiling at the older that smiled back.
after that mini conversation, talking became easier and the tension went away completely. they ate and the food was very good, now jake understood what meant the younger.
while the older was in the bathroom, the raven stood up and paid. jake exited some minutes later.
“ready to go?” sunghoon asked to him offering him his hand to take. the older nodded smiling and took his hand. the two walked again hand in hand and in a comfortable silence.
they arrived in front of a luna park. jake's mouth opened slightly and his eyes wide in amazement filled with lights. all the lights of the luna park filled the dark sky with color.
jake immediately took the hand of his companion and dragged him inside inspecting all the rides on which he wanted take a ride. sunghoon didn't back down or complain, he followed the guy checking all the rides with a smirk on his face. at this moment the eldest looked like a real baby and it amused him.
the two began to go on the attractions that the older of the two chose. they started with the simplest rides with short lines and ended up going on even the scariest ones. it was getting late but none of them knew what time it was, they didn't care about anything at that moment; just the fun, the colors, each other’s smiles and their own, the attractions and their hearts beating together.
after going on almost all possible rides, the two ordered a milkshake and sat down on a bench. it was not too noisy, the noises that were heard the most were the footsteps and the children running after each other laughing which provided a pleasant background. instead they were too far away to hear the screams of the people who decided to go on the more dangerous rides.
the older one took a sip of his milkshake as he watched the children run around happily and then opened his mouth.
“I'm sorry I dragged you everywhere.” apologized the boy looking now at his feet. the younger one took his hand that was on his leg and smiled.
“it's nothing, I'm happy to see you smile and have so much fun.” he said making the other one blush a little.
“you know... it's my first time going to a luna park. when I was little my parents never had time to take me and my older brother. and even if they had time, they said we were too old to ride and have fun while there is nothing fun in the world... even if we were only seven.” he said sighing. his family was never something he liked to talk about, but he trusted sunghoon enough to let it all.
the younger didn’t have to answer to speak his thoughts. the comfortable silnce returned while their hands carressed one another.
sunghoon and jake stood in front of the mansion. the younger smiled and the other boy smiled back. their hands still interwied together even with some space between them.
“I liked it, we should do it again sometime.” the older said letting of his hands ready to say goodbye and go in his house.
“i liked it too.” sunghoon said looking at his lonely hand. the heat of the other boy’s hand was still there but it was just his hand.
“then.. see you tomorrow hoonie.” the brunette said opening the gate of his house. sunghoon nodded as an answer looking at the older going away.
but before he was entirely inside, the raven took his hand making him turn around and be face to face with him. the younger one pulled his arm making their bodies approach and collide against each other. he then proceeded tightening his arms around the body of the shortest. jake hugged him back closing his eyes and enjoying the moment.
their bodies against each other, the cool breeze, the darkness around them and absolutely no noise.
absolutely
pacific.
