After just about one month of Amelia being in the big city, Monica had already made sure she felt welcome and right at home. Amy truly felt like she knew these people her whole life, except for Rachel Green, who just came back from a long vacation yesterday. As they sit down in Central Perk, Monica goes on a rant about kissing.
"What you guys just don't understand is, for us, kissing is as important as any part of it," Monica explains to the boys, who look at her in disbelief.
"Oh yeah?" Joey asks.
"Oh yeah!" Phoebe tells him.
"Totally true," Amelia agrees.
"Everything you need to know is in that first kiss," Rachel says.
"Yeah, I think for us, kissing is pretty much like an opening act, you know? I mean it's like the stand-up comedian you have to sit through before Pink Floyd comes out," Chandler compares, which makes all of the girls chuckle.
"Yeah, and it's not that we don't like the comedian, it's that... that's not why we bought the ticket," Ross mumbles.
"The problem is, though, after the concert's over, no matter how great the show was, you girls are always looking for the comedian again, you know? I mean, we're in the car, we're fighting traffic, basically just trying to stay awake," Chandler compliains. Ross fake yawns in his seat.
"Yeah, well, word of advice: Bring back the comedian. Otherwise next time you're gonna find yourself sitting at home, listening to that album alone," Rachel advises.
There's a pause before a totally lost Joey asks, "Are we still talking about sex?"
After our coffee hangout, Chandler, Joey, and Amelia head back to Monica's apartment while Phoebe, Ross, and Rachel are all busy. Monica turns the TV on and they all sit down to watch 'Three's Company.'
"Oh, I think this is the episode of Three's Company where there's some kind of misunderstanding," Chandler jokes.
"Then I've already seen this one!" Amelia tells him, turning off the TV. Chandler finds it quite funny and gives her a fist bump.
"Are you through with that?" Monica asks, taking a can of grape soda out of Joey's hand.
"Yeah, sorry, the swallowing slowed me down a bit," Joey tells her, rolling his eyes.
"Whose little ball of paper is that?" Monica asks, picking it up and staring at it like it's some kind of bomb.
"Oh, uh, that would be mine," Chandler says, taking it out of Monica's hand. "You see, I wrote a note to myself, and then I realized I didn't need it, so I balled it up and now I wish I was dead."
Monica huffs and turns around to fluff a throw pillow on her couch. "She's already fluffed that pillow," Amelia tells Chandler quietly since he's sitting right next to her. "Monica, you know, you already fluffed that...'' Amelia begins to say before Monica turns around with a pissed off look on her face. "But... It's fine!"
