Broken Boy

Nico was acting noticeably different for the past week. He was incredibly distant and quiet which is usually normal for him but it was different. Will wanted to help but he didn't know how to confront Nico about it. So he went on about his day normally.

Later that evening, Will noticed that he hadn't seen Nico all day. He had been pretty busy in the infirmary but even then, Nico always stops by at least once to say hi and pretend like he isn't feeling well so he can stay longer. Normally it wouldn't concern Will but with everything that he's been noticing lately about Nico stacked on top of it, he decided he should check on his boyfriend.

After his shift was done, Will stopped by the Hades cabin before going to his own. He lightly knocked on the door and when no answer followed he called for Nico but he didn't hear anything. "Ok, I'm coming in" he called through the door. When will walked in he didn't see Nico at first but then he heard quiet sobbing coming from Nico's bed.

He silently walked closer and saw Nico hunched over with his wrists upturned and a razor blade to them, bloody cuts up and down his arms. Will took the blade out of Nico's hand and placed it on the nightstand. Then he wrapped his arms around Nico, one holding him and the other one on his head pulling the broken boy into his chest.

Will hugged him while giving him kisses on top of his head and reassuring him that everything would be ok while Nico sobbed into Will's chest. Soon the sobs got quieter and less frequent until all that Will heard was soft sniffles until Nico fell asleep.
