I was training my body when matsuemon flew in giving me a new mission

"Head north to a village near the mountains, hurry!"

"Huh, okay I'll be going right away"

I grabbed my sword and put nezuko in her box heading north

I reached the snowy village asking some of the villagers if they requested me

"I called, I have this bad feeling something happened to the l/n family"

"Oh what's the reason, do they live around here for me to check on them?"

"No they live closer to the mountains that way"
The man pointed behind him at the large mountain

"Please come back and let me know if there alright"

"I will don't worry" I left heading near the mountains, finding a small house

"Hello anyone here-" I froze smelling the blood before I even got inside

'Oh no this is not good'

The smell of blood was stronger the more I got inside

I walked into there kitchen seeing five bodies but only four of them smelled human

"Could it be one of them was a demon?" I checked the pulse of a girl that looked to be my age

*grr!* she backed away from me growling and drooling at the smell of blood

"Hey it's okay I'm not going to hurt you" I tried getting closer when she started to cry her royal blue eyes looked cold and full of sadness

"Did you kill your family?"

"N-n-no s-so-ome one d-did" she had a hard time speaking but I can tell she wasn't lying

"Okay what's your name?" "My n-name is y-y-y/n"

I felt bad I couldn't leave her in this state, she also reminds me of nezuko

"Okay let's find something for you to block the sun"

She nodded her head getting up and going into a different room

"How ab-bout t-this?" She held up and umbrella that was still in perfect shape

"Yea that should do" I gave her my jacket while I fix her h/l h/c to sapphire blue hair up in a bun

"I'm sorry about what happened to you and your family"

"I-it's o-okay, I just k-know they w-wi-ill be watching o-over me" she started to tear up again walking outside

'I will find whoever did this to you y/n, I promise'

I buried her family and said our prayers heading back to the village

"Oh my, y/n I'm so glad you're okay" the man held her hand smiling at her

"So your family is okay then?" Her smile faltered as she started to tear up again

"Uh no unfortunately, a demon has killed them"

"A d-demon?!" He backed away shaking in fear "don't worry it's not here anymore, it was most likely a weak one"

I lied making sure he doesn't stress himself, this demon is not weak but I can't tell where the scent went

"Come on y/n I'll take you somewhere safe"

"b-bye" she waved farewell turning to me and asking what's with the box I'm carrying

"That's nezuko my sister, she's also like you"

Her head tilted to the side when I explained how she's a demon and where we're going.
