I accompanied my master to town. He had sent out the invitations and were were told they would arrive before the ball would start.

We walked into one of the shops. "Shall I accompany you to find your costume, master?" I asked.

"No. I'll call you if I need anything. You go find your costume now." He smiled.

"Yes, my lord." I bowed to him and left him to find his clothes. I began searching. I wish to still hold my maid stature but uphold my master's orders.

I saw many costumes. There was a costume of a princess, a school girl, and many more. They definitely did not appeal to me, especially the school girl.

Then, I found the perfect one.

It was simple. It was a maid's outfit, just like mine only shorter and not as poofy. The thing that appealed to me the most were the cat ears and tail that went along with it. I smiled. The cat ears were attached to a headband that blended in with my hair perfectly. I grabbed it and bought it. They put it in a box and I carried the box.

I waited for my master. I saw him walk towards me with a box of his own. I bowed to him. "Shall we return to the manor, master?"

"Well, we're going to need to set up the ballroom." He tapped his chin in thought.

"Leave that to me, master." I smirked.

"I really don't like that look but o-okay..." He said, glancing at me from the corner of his eye. We returned to the manor. My master went immediately to his room. I put my box in my room.

Then, I went down to the ballroom. I decorated with a light orange and white. There were orange and white balloons tied down to the tables set up by the walls. The middle of the ballroom was cleared. Each table had a vase fulled with orange and white flowers. The tablecloths were white. I made appetizers and filled glasses with wine, water, champagne, and punch. I set an even number of platters with those items, on the table. I made sure the room literally sparkled. When I finished, I smirked. Then, there was one thing missing.

"I should bake a cake." I thought aloud. I quickly baked a vanilla cake with multiple layers. I decorated it with orange frosting flowers (pic only instead of them being red roses, imagine them orange). I set it down on its own table. I checked the time.

"My, my. They shall be arriving very soon." I went up to the master's study. I knocked on the door.

"Yes?" He called from inside.

"Master, the guests shall be arriving soon. Would you like help dressing?" I asked.

"No! Go get changed. I want you to wait in your room until I come to get you." He yelled.

"But I must invite the guests inside and take care of any items they have like coats and sweaters." I replied.

"Well, after that!" He said.

"As you wish, master." I answered and walked down stairs. I decided to dust off the rest of the manor.

-after dusting and guests start arriving-

I heard a carriage coming towards the manor. I appeared by the master's room. I knocked. "Master, our guests are arriving."

"Okay. I'll be down before you let them in." He said somewhat hurriedly.

"Of course, master." I went downstairs and waited for the carriage to stop. Before it came to a full stop. I heard my master walking down the steps. I turned and looked at him.

He was wearing a white suit (the collar pulled over his contract mark) with a gold tie. His cuff links were gold as well. His hair was brushed nicely. A white rose with gold sparkles was pinned to his suit.
