"Would you stop pushing me? I am trying to die here." I whined.

"Die somewhere else. I need to place these dresses here or they will crease." Sandi threw me on the floor from my precious bed and I having no energy to get up, remained there pretending to be dead, also leaving my mouth and eyes open to add a dramatic effect.

I heard the door creaking open but didn't bother to get up from the floor because I knew it would be mom. My anticipation was proven correct when she spoke.

"Bella darling, what are you doing there on the floor?"

"Dying," Sandi spoke for me because dead don't speak.

"Oh honey die later, we have to reach there at sharp eight and only half an hour is left. Here, I bought you new contacts. Get up and go get changed. Don't make me do it." her last words had a warning tone so I got up making the ugliest face I could.

"Fine fine no one cares for me, for my feelings. I will remember this. No one was there for me while I was dying, except me. I guess I have to become a strong person for myself, for my future kids, for my..." My chant was cut down when Sandi shoved me in the washroom throwing the dress mom bought for me in my face.

"Shut up and get changed. I will change in the room." and with that she slammed the door.

I glanced at the dress in my hands and then at myself in the mirror. I loved the dress and I would have preferred wearing this anywhere but not at Xavier Miller's birthday party.

Yeah you heard me right!

I am going to Xavier's aka Mr frown's birthday party.

I am dying of excitement if you just ignore the dripping sarcasm!

I have this habit of giving people nicknames so I gave him one too and that's Mr frown. It suits him. Like he has a frown etched on his features 24/7. Honestly I have never seen him smile once in all these months.

It's been almost a month since we were attacked at the abandoned building. After waiting for about fifteen minutes, a huge army of men dressed in all black broke into the hospital sealing the area. We were thrown into a car and dropped home.

They didn't even let us see him. Well, what else one could expect after all 'Xavier Millers' was shot. It was a hot news for weeks. That incident still scares me though. That bullet could have killed him or any of us.

We wanted to visit Xavier but after he was discharged from the hospital, he went out of the town. We got this information from Raven who is also a part of our gang now, including Katherine and Dylan. I wonder how Xavier keeps up with school.

Talking about school it's December already and I can't wait for winter vacations.

Coming back to my misery a few days ago we got an invitation letter from Millers. As my dad is 'soon to be' Mr Kingston's business partner so our family was invited to their son's birthday party. He is turning eighteen and officially taking over his dad's place so basically this is a meet and greet more than his birthday party.

After learning this information from dad, I was a little sad for him. I mean a person's birthday is special which should be celebrated with friends and family not like a formal business event.

Pushing my thoughts aside, I hurriedly changed into the dress playing the role of a responsible daughter. My dad wants to introduce his family to the Millers family which I am not looking forward to by any means. Things are still really awkward between me and frown.

Sandi also changed and was looking gorgeous. Her pale complexion looked flawless against the dark fabric of her dress. Raven invited her and I was also insisting that she come with me so she agreed to go. We didn't ask Alex because obviously that would be off point.

"I bet I would be the most extra woman at the party." I glanced at my dress in the mirror. It was showing the perfect amount of cleavage but a little more legs. The puffy tulle flowed down my legs stopping near my mid thigh and the whole bodice was covered in flowers. I felt like a floral fairy.

"Stop, you look amazing." Sandi retorted.

"You look gorgeous too. Raven won't be able to keep his eyes off you or should I say hands?" I smirked at her.

After our little teasing session, I did my makeup and Sandi's too keeping it minimal and glowy. Sandi kept her hair untied while I tied mine in a loose messy bun adding some flowers in it which came with the dress.

Sparing a final gaze at my reflection in the mirror, I rushed to put my contacts on which mom put on my table somewhere and guess what, they were transparent, not my usual hazel brown ones. I was really regretting trusting mom for buying them.

It's not that I don't like my actual eye colour. It's a really pretty emerald green but I have always been obsessed with eyes matching the hair colour. It's kind of my thing. Well setting my mourning aside I quickly put them in. It's better than a blurry world around you.

We went downstairs before mom would have yelled at us to hurry up again.

"Oh my gosh girls, you look stunning." Mom complimented us with a bright smile. She herself was looking beautiful in an elegant white suit.

We hurried outside where a black limo was waiting for us. I looked at dad who gave me a thumbs up and marched towards the car holding mom. I was impressed. Like dad did all this without even telling us.

If this would have been any other situation except going to frown's birthday then I would have been jumping with excitement. I just love fancy drives, dramatic entries and all that stuff.

After a short ride, soon we entered a huge driveway which was surrounded by flower beds and grass behind them. I couldn't see much in the dark but it looked professionally designed and I was loving it already. I always dreamed of having my own garden this big and beautiful.

The car parked outside a huge mansion. There was a proper walk through made in front of the entrance with a red carpet and gold metal poles.

Paparazzi were scattered everywhere capturing every single move of the guests. I was sitting there numb trying to process everything when someone opened the door for me. Mom and dad were already out waiting for us.

Is this really just a birthday party?
