Prolouge

"Y/n."

"Y/N!!"

"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SHUT THE F-"

"Do you want some cookies?"

".....yes."

Matsuri gave a sad expression; making it painfully obvious that it was fake, "Well... If you want them you have to say sorry!!"

I sighed in annoyance, "..Fine. I'm sorry." Looking at her with an annoyed expression, I held your hand out to signal her to give hand over a piece, "Now can I have some?"

"Hmmmm..." The purple-haired girl crossed her arms as she looked away.

"MATSURI."

"Okay, okay!! I'll give you some!" Matsuri lightly giggled as she gave me a few pieces of her food.

This was a normal thing that happened every day. Me and her would arrive to work together and always fight over the smallest things. However, this time was a little different due to it being a certain time of the month for me; and Matsuri knew it.

Don't get it twisted though, me and Matsuri loved each other as if we were siblings, also meaning that we fight like siblings too.

We both work at a small coffee shop. Due to our hours being the same, we always arrive and leave together.

It was 7:57, just a few minutes and we can finally leave the hellhole that's known as work.

And as soon as the clock hit 8:00pm, we were out of there. We locked up the cafe and began our usual walk home.

The atmosphere was quiet. The sky was dark, and the street lights were lighting up the whole street. It was like this every night; and it didn't seem that this one would be any different.

"Heyy, Y/n?" We were about 2 minutes into our walk before Matsuri spoke up.

"Hmm?" I looked over at her as she did the same.

"I know this is a weird question but.." She abruptly stopped walking while looking down at the ground, making me suddenly stop too. "If we were put into a life or death situation, would you leave me behind or would you try and save me?" She finally looked up at me with curious eyes.

I gave her a confused expression while I tilted my head, "What's this about?"

Matsuri chuckled lightly, "I'm just curious! Though it was a pretty stupid question.. You don't have to answer if you don't wanna!" She put her arms up defensively as she gave a closed-eye smile. I noticed that it wasn't as bright as she would usually smile.

"Well.." I fully turned towards her, "I would never leave you behind. You're like a sister to me, I don't know what I'd do if I lost you.." I looked away with a ting of pink on my cheeks. I hated saying cheesy things, but it was the honest truth.

Giving her usual bright smile, she began to grab my hand and drag me towards our neighborhood, "Thank's Y/n! I..." She slightly hesitated before continuing, "I think of you as a sister too!!" The purple haired girl turned her head towards me as she gave her signature smile.

I wanted to speak up about her hesitation but before I could..

everything went black.
