Chapter 5 ~The Next Day~

Arora's POV;

I awoke from my sleep on the cliff at the quarry, surprised I didn't fall down the 150 foot drop in my sleep. I looked at my watch seeing that it was about 9;30 I would have to be home after 5 because then my dad would go into work. I put my Walkman on again and listened to 'Queen' as I drew. I drew the losers club, Bug eyes, Bill, Noodle head, and fanny pack. I also drew the new kid. When I finished I just looked at e drawing before I heard rustling in the  trees. I put my Walkman and drawing stuff in my bag and stood up. When I saw bug eyes and Bill come out from the bushes I just rolled my eyes, walked over to the edge and sat there. My legs dangling off the edge.

"Arora?"

I heard a voice call out. It was Noodle head. he seemed concerned. I turned half my face to him before turning back around completely. I heard soft footsteps approach me before he sat down next to me.

"What are you doing here?"

He asked, patiently.

"I don't know, thinking I guess."

I said as I picked at the dirt.

"I don't think we properly met. I'm Stanly but you can call me Stan."

He smiled, sticking his hand out for me to shake. I did reluctantly. Still not turning to face him completely.

"Arora."

I smiled slightly, then I did a dumb thing. I faced him. My busted nose and black eye clearly prominent.

"Woah! What the hell happened to your face?"

He asked squinting his eyes.

"My dad happened."

I responded as I looked back to the ground.

"Your dad did that to you?"

His eyes widened as he looked at this legs. I just nodded. he wrapped his arm round me and at first I didn't mind it. Until I really though about it. I stood up and shook his hand off of me.

"I don't need your comfort ok. I'm fine."

I scowled. I was offered to go swimming by Bug eyes but I declined. I instead walked the path down to the rocks and watched them swim and have fun. I noticed Beverly Marsh was with the gang. When they finished swimming I played music on my Walkman as we all sat around. All the boys eyed her while fanny pack and Bill kept looking at me. I looked at Stan, his curly hair, his brown eyes. he seemed perfect. He was perfect. Beverly turned and everyone looked awkwardly at the sky except Fanny pack and Bill. I looked over feeling eyes on me, and that's when they looked away. I looked at my shoes. the smiley faces I drew on them looking back at me. Bug eyes pulled out something from the new kids bag.

"News flash Ben, schools out for summa!"

He yelled as newspapers got pulled out of the red bag.

'Ben, that must be his name. Ben.'

I thought as I looked at the kid
