Chapter 2

When I woke up the next day I didn't feel so good I had a splitting headache and my throat was sore.

I got out of my bed and made my way to the bathroom. I looked at myself and I was a total mess. My makeup was smeared and my hair was in nots. I got my makeup remover and comb out of my drawer. I looked at my phone to see what time it was. 7:55. "Shit!" I mumbled to myself. I was gonna be so late. School started in 10 minutes.

When I got to school I was 30 minutes late. I went to my first class which was History. When I opened the door everyone's head snapped to face me. I was so embarrassed I hate when this happens. I quickly gave my late pass to my teacher and took a seat and took out my homework.

History was such a drag it's so boring. When the bell ran for my next class I quickly got all my stuff together and rushed out of the class. I made my way to my looker and took out my science books because that was my 2nd period class. Since I had 5 minutes till the next class I tried to find Cora.

When I spotted her she was with the one person I didn't want to see. Jack. They were all lovey and stuff but I saw Jack didn't want to be in this situation. I walked over there and both of they both looked at me with a smile (Jack's smile a little bigger and brighter.)

"Where were you this morning," Cora asked "I was looking all over for you."

"Oh I umm woke up late," I said "yea I had a uhh rough day after school." I was now looking at Jack with and evil eye while he was looking at the ground.

"Oh. Ok," Cora said "you could have called me I would have been there for you." She looked a little confused because I was still staring at Jack.

Then we stood there in the awkward silence until the bell rang.

"Well," I started "I'm gonna head to class. See you after 2nd period." I then walked really fast to my next class. Science. Yay. **Note the sarcasm**

I walked into my science class and sat in the back row. I took out my homework. In science we are learning about GMOs and all that crap. It's really boring and confusing.

Anyway science went by pretty fast because it was really fun. We had a debate about GMOs and if they are safe and not and should they be labeled or not and what are the benefits of having GMOs.

When the bell ran it went to the cafeteria since it was lunch time (I'm on block schedule so it's 3 classes on A Day and 3 classes on B Day).

Today they were serving oven backed fried chicken, salad, pizza sticks, and hamburgers. They all looked disgusting except for the pizza stick. It was my favorite. After I bought my food, I sat down at the normal table where me and Cora (and sometimes Jack) sit.

No one was at the table yet so I just sat by myself and ate in peace.

"Hey hot stuff." A familiar voice said. I already knew who it was.

"What do you want Jack," I snapped at him "go sit with your jocks or whatever."

"Why sit with them when I could sit with all of this?" He said looking me up and down and licking his lips.

"Just go away Jack." I said. He sat down next to me and scooted closer.

"Can I have some space?" I asked and he shook his head. He put his hand on my leg and squeezed it.

"Jack st-." Then he leaned in and kissed me.

"Jack!? Jackie!?" A familiar voice said. Right away I knew I made a big mistake.
