Chapter 5

Hey guys!! I'm so sorry for all of you who actually read my book and were like 'Jade where the f*** are you?' I have been super busy with school and my basketball season just ending and then finals last week. I also didn't know how to carry on with the book. Thank you so much for reading IKMBB. It has been almost 2 weeks since the whole incident. I've tried talking to Cora in the hallway when I see her, but she always turns around and walks the other way. I've also tried to go to her house, but her parents won't let me talk to her. I've made a huge mistake and I don't think I can fix it. The only people that talk to me at school now is Jack, and my friend Hana and I don't like talking to Jack since he is a big part of this incident.

The next morning when I was walking to my locker I ran into Cora. "Hey Cora? Can we please talk? I need to apologize." I said to her. She looked at me and was about to turn away but I gave her a stern look that said you don't have much of an option.

"I'll give you 5 minutes outside." and with that we were walking outside to the front of the school. Once we got outside we went to a quiet place where no one was around.

"Thanks Cora so much for letting me talk to you. I know I can't blame this whole thing on Jake so I'm gonna take responsibility. Yes me and Jack kissed, but he kissed me. I should have backed away and blocked his kiss but I didn't see it coming. I should also tell you now that Jack came up to me and told me that he was only dating you to get to me. You're probably not going to believe me about that but I just wanted to tell you. Cora you are my best friend and I could never hurt you on purpose. I really hope you can forgive me or give me a 2nd chance because I miss being your best friend." I said. She thought really hard about what I just said and for a second I thought she was going to walk away. She looked like she was about to cry so I gave her a big hug. Surprisingly she hugged me back.

"Jackie I don't know what to say. I guess I never really thought that maybe Jack came onto you. He always is staring at you. I'm so so sorry about ignoring you these past 2 weeks. I was just hurt and betrayed by you." By the time she was done we were both in tears.

"Does this mean we can be best friends again?" I asked a little uncertain it was too early.

Luckily Cora thought about it. "Of course we can be best friends again. We will never NOT be best friends." With that we walked back to the hallway together as best friends.

It's been almost a month since me and Cora made up and it's been great. We put the whole kissing incident behind us and focused on the present. Jack? Yea Cora broke up with him after we made up. He tried to look shocked when Cora confronted him about kissing me but we saw straight through him. I am so glad we made up cause I don't know what I would do without my best friend.
