Angela Walker's POV
The sound of my alarm clock woke me up from a really good dream.
I turned my annoying alarm clock off. Damn school.
Wait? School!
I'm not really a morning person as you can see. I'm not a school geek either but the reason why I'm so excited to go to school is that today they will announce who the student body president and who the quarterback will be. Actually today, they will announce all the leaders of each club, sports and etc. Professor Johanson told me last school year that I was one of the nominees for student body president due to my academic achievement.
I am hopefully praying that I would be the student body president because that would be another "academic achievement" and I would have higher chances of becoming the school's valedictorian on the end of the school year.
I've won a lot of contests before that includes declamation contest, oration, singing contest, dance contest, poster making contest, math and science quiz bee, spelling bee and etc.
I worked really hard for the past few years for my future. I want to take up a fashion designing course for college. Not what you expected huh? You thought I would be a doctor or an engineer or any academic courses. But the answer is no. I want to be the class valedictorian because I want to. And that doesnt mean that I would take up academic courses just because I'm smart and responsible. I want to be a designer. Designing is what Im really good at. I may be good at a lot of things but believe me. This is what Im really good at.
I unplugged my phone from the charger and sent a message to my best friend, Matt.
Wake up Quarterback! Wouldnt want to miss the opportunity of bringing the name of Linden High football team, right? -A
I was up an hour ago. You should be the one to hurry up. I heard student body presidents never have tardy or they'll face the wrath of Mrs. Montegrace. *evil laugh* -M
Mrs. Montegrace is the most evil school principal I've ever encountered. Last year after she caught a couple liplocking in the cafeteria she had them do cleaning duty for a month! That includes the bathroom. Okay, Im a little bit exagerrating it was actually a two weeks, but still.
Hey, take a shower already, you stink. *covers nose* -M
How did he know I havent showered yet? I looked out the window facing the evil smirk of my best friend. That explains why he knew, I didnt close the window's curtain yesterday when we were talking.
Cliche huh? But that's just who we are. Sometimes I even slept in the window while having a staring contest with him. He threw me some chips that made me stumble and fall on the ground. I know, Im exagerrating. It wasnt really because of the chips why I fall it was because of his annoying voice. Most of the time I sleep on the window-bed because he would want to chat with me all night.
Yup, that's my best friend. He has never ending stories to tell, jokes to crack and songs that he sings. For a big guy he had a sweet voice, he even sang to me once when my mother and father fought and almost broke up. That was three years ago when I was 14.
I stuck my tongue out to him and he laughed. Slowly I closed the curtains on my window, I wouldnt want him to see me naked or in my towel.
The thought made my cheeks blush.
Angela, what are you thinking. He's your best friend! Dismiss that thought this instant!
I dismissed the thought.
I took a cold and refreshing shower to wake me up and destroy all those sleepy parts of me.
After taking a long shower, I patted my slef dry and blow dried my hair.
