Chapter 4

NEW SQUAD

-Nozomi POV-

We are currently waiting at the court for Eren to show up, I was on Mikasa's left and Armin at right side. 

He walked in a court room with two guards, they then proceed to make him kneel and put a metal rod between him and cuffs on his hands behind his back.

"Silence!" said judge Zachary, "Your name is Eren Jaeger, and as a soldier you have sworn to give your life when needed. For the sake of humanity, is that correct?" 

"Yes" answered Eren.

"As an enlisted soldier during the time of war, military demands your tribunal be held as court martial. As commander of our armed forces this matter is left to my discretion. Thus I will decide. Whether you live or die." said Zachary "Any objections?"

"No sir" said Eren.

"Your astuteness is appreciated. Let us proceed. As expected covering up your existence has proven quiet fruitless. And unless we publicly dispose your existence, one way or another, we risk the outbreak of wide spread public unrest. A choice must be made...." 'bla bla bla... damn this is boring. But I need to listen since they are probably gonna ask me something, they did call me here for a reason.' I thought.

"... To begin, The Military Police will now present their case."

"Thank you, sir" said MP "My name is Nile Dock. I am Commander of Military Police. Our recommendation is that Subject Eren Jaeger should be disposed of immediately!"

'He's not a Subject you son of a-' I was stopped in thinking as they continued.

"We acknowledge that Eren Jaeger's played a part in turning back the latest titan incursion. For the greatest good, after all we have gathered all the information that we can, from him we would see him made a fallen warrior of humanity." he said. 

"And now I would like to hear The Scout Regiment proposal plan." said Zachary.

"Yes sir" said scout "As the Commander of Survey Corps, I Erwin Smith propose next. Let Eren join our ranks, reinstate him as member of Scouts. We will use his Titan ability to retake Wall Maria."

"Is that it?" asked Zachary.

"Yes, with his assistance sir. I'm certain we can reclaim Wall Maria. I believe our top priority is clear."

"Quiet bold, assuming you were given clearance, where do you want to launch this operation from? Commander Pixis, the wall in Trost district has been completely sealed, is that correct?" asked Zachary.

"Yes, I doubt it's gate will ever open again." answered Pixis.

"We will depart from Calaneth district in the east. From there we will make for Shiganshina. A new route can be established as we proceed." said Erwin.

After that some bitchy pigs started arguing. I hate them so fucking much that my brain cells are slowly splitting apart. 'I'm pissed off.' I thought but didn't bother to shut them up.

After some time they shut up.

"Now then Mister Jaeger.. I have question for you. As a soldier you have made a solemn to answer to humanities call. Can you still serve by controlling your ability?" said MP Commander.

"Yes, I will sir!" said Eren.

"Is that so? This report from the battle from Trost contradicts that statement. Just after transforming, seems you made an attempt to crush Mikasa Ackerman and Nozomi."

Eren was just looking at us with shocked expresion. 'So I was right, he was unconscious.' 

"And who are Mikasa Ackerman and Nozomi?"

"We are." Mikasa said as we raised hands.

"Alright then. Is it true that Eren Jaeger assulted you while he was in Titan form?" asked Zachary.

"Yes it's true, though it was his first time transforming on his will sir. It made him unconscious so he wasn't the one controlling his Titan. First time he was eaten by one." I said coldly.

After that Mikasa had her little speach but said it's true.

Now pigs started guessing and yelling that Mikasa and I are maybe titans too. 

After when they shut up. Again. I decided to start talking.

"HA! You have never even seen a titan, so why are you scared that this one can hurt you? Eat that fucking food of yours pigs, since you don't have any other things to do. And you better shut up or I'm gonna slice your throats, you're annoying me." I said sarcastically until that part of slicing throats, I said that monotony and gave the a death glare. 

'She look like they are shitting their pants.' I thought.

After some time, some midget started kicking Eren. Mikasa wants to go and beat that midget for kicking Eren but Armin is holding her back. He knows why is this needed, that shorty is on our side after all.

'I get it why Mikasa is angry but Eren is a Titan, he can just heal right? I mean, there is steam around him now so it would make sense. I guess that's why his head was steaming when he hit his head in training corps...' but yet again my thoughts are interrupted by Commander Erwin.

"Sir, I have a proposition." said Erwin. 'Wait what, I didn't even notice his eyebrows... well there it is a new nickname, hehe.' I always liked giving people nicknames.

"Proceed." said Zachary.

"There's still too much we don't know. And no doubt his danger bill be ever present. As much, I suggest this. Eren Jaeger be placed under Captain Levi's supervision. And we will conduct a recon mission outside of the Walls." said Commander.

"Jaeger will join you in this excursion?" asked Zachary.

"Yes sir. And you can look upon the mission results yourself. And if he successfully controls his ability. Eren will have proven his value to mankind." said Commander Erwin.

"Eren Jaeger will be closely supervised? And if he lose control?" asked Zachary Captain Levi.

"I can deffinitely kill him if it comes to that. The inly downside is, there's absolutely no middle ground." said Captain Levi.

"Then I have made my choice... Eren Jaeger will be placed under Captain Levi's supervision until further notice..." said Zachary as Mikasa, Armin and Commander looked less tense, we were all thinking this is it when he continued. 

"But... since Nozomi is skilled and the only one I truthfully trust, I am requesting that Eren Jaeger should be under her supervision too. If you don't accept this, he will be handled to Military Police." continue Zachary.

-Flashback-

"Hello Commander Shadis, I haven't talked to you in a while." said Zachary "And who is this with you?" 

"This is Nozomi. She is the most skilled Cadet I have ever had, after... you know." 

"Ah yes I do" said Zachary.

"It's nice to meet you sir." I said "I'm sorry if I offend you by any chance, I am always stoic like this." 

"She has manners, it's nice to know you. I'm Dhalis Zachary, I'm judge. Last name?" he asked.

"You can check sir." I said handing him my files. 'Cool guy' I tgought.

-Flashback ends-

"Yes sir." agreed Commander Eyebrows...shit I mean Erwin.

'Okay but am I gonna have Squad or just join midgets too? If I do I'm going to ask for my own Squad' I thought as we all exited court.

I was told to go to the room where Eren is at the moment.
