Bakugou sat curled in the corner of his family's hut, subconsciously playing with the strings of the bracelet Inko gave him. Tears occasionally sliding down his face. Why did it hurt so much? He was just this annoying kid who followed him around, how did he become so special?
He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard the sound of children outside. He hadn't noticed he was playing with the bracelet. The buried memory of when he made this for Deku came to his mind. It was a couple years ago, probably 6, making them 9 years old when it happened.
Months prior it was Bakgou's birthday and Deku gave him a cover for the knife he carried with him; he still uses that cover. Now it was Deku's birthday and he was trying to find something to give him to pay back the favour, definitely that. His village barely had extra supplies that would make a good gift, except for weapons but Deku was too nervous to come near his knife. After a little more searching he found some white string that was meant for mending clothes but he can take a little bit.
He spent the rest of the day attempting to braid the three strands together. He had seen the girls braid each other's hair before but never never braided anything himself. This resulted in a bunch of mismatch loops and some breaks in the pattern, but he was proud of it. The next day he gave Deku the bracelet, he thanked him and put it on. He wore it everyday after that. His execution was the first time he took it off.
Wiping the tears with the back of his hand, he sat up. He needed some fresh air.
Hi
Sorry I haven't posted in a little bit and sorry this part is short. All of the other parts I've written so far are longer. (I have a 500 word minimum.)
