Owen's presence will be the end of me. He has this attitude and a part of me just wants to slap it out of him. I wish there was a way to hang out with him, without actually having to hang out with him. I know that doesn't make any sense, but that boy is irritating.

I'm working on a project for the kingdom when Owen comes into my office. I pretend not to realize that he's entered the room hoping that maybe he'll realize I'm busy and will just leave. But of course, with my luck, Owen is still standing by the door after five minutes.

I sigh and look up from my work. "What."

"Sheesh. Watch the attitude, princess," Owen says coming over to see what I'm doing.

"You should be the last one talking about attitude." Owen leans over my shoulder and starts moving papers around. "Could you not touch my things? They're organized in a certain manner and the last thing I need is you messing it up."

"You're sassy today, princess. And I'm not messing anything up, you just have a major case of OCD." I try and put my things back in their place, but Owen keeps moving things around.

"Owen, stop it!" I yell. I push him away from the desk giving up on trying to be passive. Owen gives me a dirty look, to which I just ignore, and takes a seat on the chair in front of my desk. "Why are you even in here. I told you that I was working. We need to hang out, but not THIS much."

"One, I'm bored. Two, we need to talk about falling asleep in the theatre the other night." After Luke had come over yesterday, Owen and I never got a chance to really talk about that night. I just figured we'd ignore it and move on. However, Owen seems to have other plans.

"There isn't anything to talk about. We both fell asleep, 'cause we were obviously tired," I sighed. Nothing happened that night. We just talked, so there wasn't much to say about it now.

"Yeah, I guess," Owen said nonchalantly. "But I'm bored, so. Let's talk about it anyway."

"Didn't you say that you wanted to spend the least amount of time with me as possible? Because you're really missing your opportunity right now."

"I did, didn't I?" We sit in silence for a few minutes. We agreed to only spend time together when necessary, so him being here doesn't exactly fall into "necessary". "Well you know, you should've put an alarm on or something to make sure we got out of there at a certain time. So, if you think about it, falling asleep there is your fault."

"Excuse me?" Was Owen really going to blame me for all of this? "How are you going to blame it all on me!? You fell asleep too!"

"Well I didn't have my phone on me, so I couldn't have possibly put an alarm on!" He can't be serious right now.

"OWEN! We both fell asleep! We weren't even supposed to fall asleep in the first place!"

"Wow. You're just trying to put the blame on me," Owen says rolling his eyes.

"YOU STARTED OFF BY PUTTING THE BLAME ON ME!" I yell. Owen doesn't say anything back but bursts into laughter instead. I look at him dumbfounded. This boy is ridiculous.

"You're cute when you yell," he smiles at me when he calms his laughter down.

"Are you insane?" Owen just shrugs his shoulders. I get up and walk around to stand in front of Owen. I grab him by the tie and pull him upwards to stand. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

Instead of answering, Owen grabs my wrist and pulls me even closer to him than I was before. Butterflies swim around in my stomach in consequence of the limited space between us.

A knock on the door interrupts us, and I try to take a step back before the person comes in and sees us, but Owen stops me by wrapping his other arm around my waist. I didn't get a chance to say something about his actions when my brother walks in. Alex gives us a strange look but doesn't pay much attention to it. He's still stuck in some imaginary world where he gets to rule Phaeacia. Idiot.
