Loki rose from his seat on the floor of his cell. There was anger surging through him making him feel power he hadn't felt in a very long time. As he paced his cell, his walk turned faster every round. Every second he spent brooding built up more unbridled emotion.
He ran against the force if his cell, slamming his body weight against it. Again and again he fought against the field until his body was bruised. The field wouldn't give way. However, his cuffs must.
They were the only things holding back his power. He had to break them. He slammed his wrists against the force field, growing more forceful as he went. Eventually, he felt the iron break free and clatter to the ground.
Afterwards, it wasn't much of an issue at all to free himself from his cage. He stood in the empty room alone; no alarms went off and no alerts were given. Loki was free.
There was a brief realization of the complete power and freedom the young God held in his hands, but Loki couldn't bring himself to reattempt to conquer New York. Now Loki knew something different that brought him happiness and he would stop at nothing to retrieve it.
It seemed to good to be true; Loki waltzing out of Stark Tower without detection, but it seemed to be true nonetheless. The outside air was crisp and cold, a feeling incomparable to the stuffy air of a cell. The world was alive here; at night the city truly buzzed. However, the usually mischievous God of tricks remained focused on his goal.
He still felt a fire burning inside of him; the monotonous tone of his footsteps against concrete did nothing to calm him. Soon, he took off into the air, gliding above the busy city. He swooped low to find any clue about Oliver's whereabouts. There didn't seem to be any.
The one thing Loki did find was rather unpleasant. "Loki Laufeyson," the voice boomed. "How have you escaped?"
A man, nay, a god, stood in front of Loki. This man was completely unrecognizable. "You will never return to Asgard. You must stay here on Midgard, but there is a price other than that."
"What?" Loki spat angrily. "Detainment in Stark's cell?"
"No. You must kill Oliver Grey."
    "Why?"
    "It is your punishment."
Loki fell down, his knees shaking. "I can't."
"You must," the god insisted. "If you do not you will be executed."
