Loki sat against the concrete wall of his cell mindlessly staring up at the ceiling. The day had been relatively uneventful and now Oliver had left for home.
During the night there was not nearly as much security surrounding the god. It was alright; Loki stopped trying to escape a while ago. It's surprising what a mental breakdown can do to your motivation.
Today was Wednesday. He knew that for sure. Usually he forgot the days as they all seemed to blur together, but Oliver was so excited about his date on Friday that Loki simply couldn't forget the day. There was something about the way Loki's new guard was so passionate about many things. Especially the idea of a first kiss. It was sweet.
As this thought crossed the gods mind he thought back to their own first kiss.
"Thor, I can't do it. What do I say to them?"
Loki's adopted older brother laughed. "It obvious you like them. They like you as well. Who wouldn't love my glorious little brother?"
Loki had sighed. "I don't like me. Why would they?"
"Loki. They like you. Do you see how they look at you. Just go over."
Loki took a deep breath and collected himself. Nervously, a fourteen year old Loki made his way over to his first crush.
The boy, and object of his affection,  had brown hair tied in a knot on his head, eyes the color of ink, and he was a few inches taller than the young god.
When Loki faced the Asgardian boy his hands began to tremble. "Are you alright?" Loki's crush asked sheepishly.
After a moment of awaiting Loki's answer, the boy took hands in his own. He whispered, "I like you, Loki."
That's when it happened. Their lips connected and everything in the world was alright again.
It was no wonder Oliver was so excited about his first kiss, anyone would be. However, something continued to irk Loki, but he wasn't quite sure what it was exactly.
Earlier that day he heard the name "Jasper" five million times. Oliver talked about them as if they were the most important thing in the world. Good for him. Let him be happy.
Speaking of happiness, Loki had none remaining. The time in the cell had drained him of life. Instead there was emptiness. At least in the day there was Oliver, now there was nothing but Loki's own thoughts. His horrible, intrusive thoughts.
