"Thanks for picking me up, Connie"
"Well, helping my stupid husband when their partner leaves them behind because he said shitty stuff is in the job description as a wife," Connie says, giving Steve a side glare and bitter smile.
"Steve, why would you say that stuff? You know that's fucked up, even for Javier."
"I don't know, Connie. I didn't think it was anything. Nothing really affects him. I didn't think this would be the thing to break him. He's just been so different I'm even more concerned now."
"Awww, are you worried he's going to break up with you?" Steve glares at Connie, unamused by her humor.
"Oh, lighten up, Steve! I'm sure everything is fine! Maybe he has a girlfriend? That might be why he didn't like your comment?" Steve starts to laugh. "Don't laugh! You're being rude. I'm going to kick you out of this car and ditch you like Javi."
"Okay! God!"
"You better apologize to him."
"I know. I'll try to talk to him tomorrow at the office."
"No excuses, Mister!"
"I know, I know." Steve and Connie sigh, leaving a moment of silence to linger.
"Why do you think it's so impossible for Javier to find someone? I mean, yeah, Javi sleeps around a lot, but that doesn't mean he can't find someone. We all know he can't live like this forever."
"But... It's Javi." Connie rolls her eyes as she parks in front of their apartment.
"I'm just saying, it's not impossible and that I'm probably better than you at your own job."
"Hey!"
. . . . .
You woke up the next morning to the sound of your alarm. You reach over to turn it off and get out of bed when the arm around your waist stops you from getting up. You try to nicely lift the arm off of you, but it squeezes tighter.
"Javi, I need to get up and get ready."
"No, you don't." His voice, deep and gruff.
"Yes, I do!" You try to wiggle away, but you underestimate his strength.
"Five more minutes, Princess," Javier says as he kisses the back of your neck. How could you possibly say no?
You turn around to face his beautiful, sleepy face. His eyes remained closed as you admired him, running your fingers along the edges of his facial features. As you slowly trace his lips, he puckers them to kiss your fingers. His hand then comes up to grip your wrist and move it away before putting his hand on your cheek, pulling you into a kiss. His soft lips kiss yours tenderly as he sighs into it.
"Good morning," Javier says against your mouth.
"Good morning, Baby." You whisper back to him, pulling him closer.
Javier starts to run his hand under your tank top; his calloused hands roam your sides, slowly inching up. You lick his bottom lip, begging for access in which he gladly grants. He parts his lips, letting your tongues caress each other. You gasp when you feel Javier's hand brush the underside of your breast. He can't help but smirk at your reaction, wanting to tease you even more.
Javier slowly gets up to hover over your body, lips slowly moving to kiss your jaw. Hands make their way up slightly higher, not yet where you want them most. Javier peaks his eyes open and sees the rainbow of colored spots he's left all over your neck for the day before and smirks. You were going to be upset but at this point, what's a few more? You moan at the feeling of his lips sucking on your neck. Fed up with Javier's teasing, you wrap your leg around his waist and flip him over.
