Zinnia woke to the ungodly screech of Primrose in search of her favourite headband in which she should have packed the night before, and not the day of leaving for school. She grumbled as she threw back her sheets with the scramble that one could imagine of a disgruntled 14 year old. Letting out a sigh she arose from her bed with a sleepy yawn, opening her door she could only hear the oh so familiar sound of her siblings bickering with each other.

"Stop stealing my stuff Poppy! MERLIN HOW CAN ANYONE FIND ANYTHING IN THIS PIGSTY!" Primrose shouted over the counter arguments of her little sister Poppy.

"As if i would take it, I don't want to look like a priss. HEY! Stop throwing my stuff everywhere" Poppy exhaustively argued. Zinnia's head peered out of her room to look at the scene unfolding before her. Although she hated when her family fought, their innocent bickering made it feel like home. She always advocated that a family that does not fight was a family manufactured by a chemistry set, she could not possibly fathom what a calm household would be like.

"Z, please get her out of my room" Poppy pleaded with her older sister. Poppy and Zinnia always had a close relationship. Not that she wasn't close with the rest of her family but Poppy seemed to look up to her, and Zinnia took that responsibility with a purposeful stride.

"I am merely an innocent observer" she sarcastically remarked in order to stirr maybe just a bit more chaos before Violet would set in and solve everything.

"Oh of course you're bringing her into this" the nagging voice of primrose spoke from inside the mess of Poppy's room. Primrose and Zinnia always had a troubled relationship. They still loved each other to death but they butted heads a lot, mainly because Zinnia believed that Primrose should let loose a bit as she seemed to be followed by a cloud of arrogance.

"Hey what's that supposed to mean?" Zinnia straightened up from the door frame she was leaning on. As she was about to descend on Primrose, Violet came in like a white night to settle things; a routine that was all too familiar to the girls of the house.

"Hey guys seriously shut up" Violet raised her voice like a true big sister, she promptly pulled out a headband and offered it to primrose who had emerged from the room in response to Zinnia's toying. "Found this in the bathroom" she reasoned. Primrose closed her mouth tightly and huffed, she swiftly grabbed the headband from Violet's hand and stormed off to her room to continue packing.

"Always a lovely chat Prim" Zinnia remarked. Violet looked at her and scowled disapprovingly.

"Come on poppy let's go get breakfast, i'll meet you downstairs" Violet said to her baby sister whilst giving Zinnia a side glance. Poppy looked between both of them and mumbled something alongs the lines of "never get to be a part..." as she skipped down the stairs.

"Do you always have to provoke her? Poppy looks up to you and you do this?" Violet pleaded. She promptly adopted the role of caring for the Beaumont siblings as she was the oldest in the school since Basil left. To be fair she was doing a fair job at it.
