Heejin's POV

I'm waiting for Hyunjin at the living room so we can go to school together when my phone received a message.

Unknown Number

sent an attachment.

Who the fuck? I look at the image that was sent to me and I'm literally panicking right now.

it's you and kim hyunjin, right?
i wonder what will happen if i submit this to the principal

Shit. Shit. Shit. It's a picture of me and Hyunjin the day we burned the laboratory down. It's a picture of us before we can cover our faces. We're doomed.

I received some few texts after the last one.

I type a reply to this person and the moment I tap the send button, Hyunjin went down the stairs, wearing her uniform neatly.

"Let's go?" she smiled at me and offered me her hand, wanting me to hold hers.

"Let's go" I said and stand up from the couch. As much as she looks so cute with that pout on her face, I wanna know who the fuck is this person before I take her hand again.

"Is there something wrong? You've been avoiding me since this morning" Hyunjin asked

"What are you saying?" I acted dumb. To be honest, I'm kinda anxious the whole day.

"Is it because of the back hug?" she said and I feel my cheeks burning up immediately. Why did she have to remind me about that?

I was preparing cereals for the both of us earlier this morning when she came down and hug me from behind and greet me a good morning.

"You didn't like it? I won't do it again then" she said and I was quick to shake my head.

"I liked it" I said, not able to stop myself from saying that.

"Then why are you avoiding me?" she asked

The person warned me not to tell her though...

"There's just something bothering me" I said and her eyes shows nothing but worries and care towards me. Can she like stop before I fall completely?

"What is it?" her tone is so soft and calm.

"I'll tell you later" I said and she nods. I like how she never force me to speak or to do something.

"This is Soojin" she said with such certainty.

We just got home and I pulled her to the underground basement. I know someone's watching us since this morning because I can feel it.

"How did you say so?" I asked and she chuckles.

"The way she type the messages and the uses of her words are exactly like Soojin" she said

"So she's the one who ordered the girl to tail me?" she chuckles again but I know it's not the 'happy' chuckle.

"Something's gonna happen tonight, Persephone" she said and left.

In the middle of the night, Hyunjin left her house to go to her work. The person outside her house proceed to climb up to her room and open the window, entering Hyunjin's room.
