Mic smiled. "Fine by me. Say aren't you the kid who--" Mic was cut off by a good whack to the back of the head from an older woman with shoulder length black hair.
"Hizashi, that's enough," the woman scowled before smiling back at Mocha. "I'm sorry, sweetie, he's super unaware of how his words affect people sometimes.."
"Whaaattt? I just wanted to know if she was the one who destroyed the other school!" Mic whined.
Mocha tensed up, holding her breath. "Hizashi!" the woman snapped. "God, look what you did! That's a touchy subject and you know it!" She gave a sympathetic look to the fox, carefully petting her ears back. "Hey, don't feel too bad.. I read all about what happened, dear, it wasn't your fault. I'm Miss Midnight, I'll be guiding you all to your class, alright?"
The girls nodded, all coming over to help console Mocha. The memory was still fresh in her mind. Her time back at Hurricane Hero Academy, the time with her ex boyfriend..- that thought made her clench her teeth. She couldn't stand thinking of him. How much he had hurt her. How badly she wanted to leave. It was too unbearable, and yet, she found herself remembering. The memories seemed vivid.. like she was reliving them..

"Zen, stop it, please! I didn't mean to-- Ah!!" the fox was struck in the face and shoved to the ground.
"Dumb bitch! We've been over this time and time again!" the rabbit sneered as he grabbed her hair, yanking her up again. "You are mine. That family of yours only got in the way. You are only allowed to go to that dumb hero school to strengthen that quirk so you can become a strong villain to take over the country. If it weren't for that, I'd be doing it my damn self!"
Trembling, Bailey managed a small nod, biting back tears that threatened to spill from her eyes. "I-I-I know--"
"Good. Now, shut the fuck up and get going. Remember, tell anyone about that busted leg of yours and you'll be joining them, understand?"
Bailey nodded again, doing her best to get to the entrance of the school. She hated how her guardian, Henry, decided to let Zen walk her to school. She had hoped he could read her signals, pleading him not to, but she wasn't allowed to say so, not in front of Zen.
Bailey was already late for gym class, hurrying down the hallway as fast as her broken leg would let her. She wanted freedom.. She wanted to tell everyone what had happened, what's still happening... she wanted vengeance for her family. She walked into the gym, everyone staring at her almost immediately. "Bailey, where have you been?" the teacher, Mr. Black had asked.
She shook her head dismissively. "I-I'm sorry , I woke up late.. It-It won't happen again.." she stammered as she hurried over to the bench between a girl with short blonde hair, and another girl with medium dirty blonde hair and... horns? Right... RIght this is Maddie and Fawn... They were in here yesterday when that other girl had tried to drown Fawn..
Mr. Black watched Bailey hurry to the bench. "Alright students.. Because of yesterday's little... incident..." He paused, looking at the girl who had tried to drown Fawn during the practice quirk battles. ".. the rest of the practice quirk battles are cancelled and instead, we do real work. We'll start with four laps around the field."
The students around them groan, most shooting glares and cursing at the girl. "Alright, enough with the moaning," Black huffed. "Get on the field, now." The kids stand, still grumbling about the misfortune, and start their laps around the field.
As Bailey ran, pain erupted through her leg, making her clench her jaws. It was inevitable that she would have a limp, she just prayed no one would notice. "Bailey!" Mr. Black called, motioning her over. Fuck.. he definitely noticed..
Bailey made her way over to him with a nervous smile. "What's up, Mr. Black?"
"I noticed you've got a sort of limp going on, you okay?" Bailey knew she couldn't tell him the truth about what happened. Zen was in her class. He would kill her for sure.
"Y-yeah um... I'm just.. I'm fine.. I kinda um, rolled my ankle getting ready for school this morning, I'll be okay though.."
Mr. Black stared for a moment, as if he could see through her lie. "Well why don't you sit down and rest that ankle then? I don't want you straining yourself.."
Bailey quickly shook her head. "N-Nonono, I'm-I'm fine, really!" Bailey made a quick glance to Zen, who was giving an ice cold glare.
Mr. Black followed her glance, visible worry on his face for a brief moment. "I'm not taking no for an answer... Now go sit down and rest. Don't worry about what he has to say.. I'll handle it.."
"But I didn't... I don't... I can't.. he's gonna-"
"He won't do anything... He'll make me lose my teaching license if he does.. now go sit down." Mr. Black gave a reassuring smile before walking over to Zen to talk with him.
Bailey hobbled over to the bench and let out a pained grunt as she sat down, pulling out her phone. She left Henry a quick text. 'Hey, I rolled my ankle pretty good and my teacher has me sitting gym class out, could you give me a ride home?"
