The songs that are played in the story👆🏻
🌶prepare your holy water🌶Tom and Harrison didn't seem like they're gonna give up the hug. Well, that's what happens when you don't meet your best friend in so long so whose to blame?
My frozen blood started running in my veins again as I heard a nostalgic Pitbull song, "ya'll are having a good time out there?", of course, don't stop the party!
We rocked out places with this song nearly ten years ago! I was amazed by how fast the crowd started to bounce next to the DJ booth, sheer joy of nostalgia accelerating in my legs when I suddenly felt an irresistible push towards the dance floor from my back.
I turned to face Sarah, Harrison, and Tom, surrounding me, their hands on each other's shoulders, jumping up and down to the song.
The four of us sang to the song from the top of our lungs, our feet barely touching the ground from the constant bouncing. God I had missed this so bad.
The song, the vibe, the familiar faces, the energy Tom suddenly injected into the party, his eyes not leaving mine as we danced, it all unlocked a section of my memories I had long lost access to.
"Who got the keys of the world, now, yours truly, blow" we all gestured the lyrics just like we used to when we were teenagers.
"They can't, they won't, They never will stop the party" Sarah and Harrison both found their partners and left Tom and I together; he didn't waste a second to wrap his arms around my body, I hugged him back even tighter.
It was the chorus of the song and people were almost causing an earthquake around us but Tom and I didn't want to pull away. I could see how mad I was at him for not being there anymore, for not even telling us how he's been doing, what he's been up to, but how much I missed him was way more powerful than that.
He cupped my face and pressed his forehead to mine, the fire in those eyes of him lights my heart up each time I look at him and it hasn't gotten any colder after all this time.
"T-I missed you!" He said silently, knowing his voice won't reach my ears with all that loud noise. "-I missed you too!"
Yet I brought my hand up to slap him in the face for abandoning me all this time.
However the sight of him stopped me."T- you can hit me as many times as you want later darling!" He said into my ear, holding my hand and bringing it down.
He then laughed cheekily, placing a kiss next to my lips and pulling both my hands after him, jumping up and down again; making me forget about all the time I had patiently waited for him. Now he's here, so I'll enjoy it and deal with the bullshit tomorrow.
________
We were on shot I don't know, smell of vodka filling up the space even though the windows were open and we were almost in the terrace. Bottles were flying on our hands, Sarah and Seb in the middle of the crowd, showing off their dance moves. Something I had never seen two introverts do. Harrison, Tom, and I were looking at them and then at each other in pure unbelief, our jaws on the floor.
"H-what the fuck was im those drinks?"
Haz asked, sipping from the bottle in his hand. "-man, I don't fucking know!"
I blurted out as I was choking on laughter.
Tom brought out his phone, recording them. "T-this is gonna get interesting tomorrow!" He said in a devilish tone.
Harrison and I clicked our bottles together and watched what Tom was recording.
"G- what are you guys doing?"Gracie said as she put her hand around Harrison's neck and leaned in to see what was Tom doing. "-collecting evidence against them!" I laughed and pointed to our beloved onces dancing.
"G-ugh! You guys are such idiots, Haz c'mon, let's dance!"
She pulled Harrison with her and he didn't seem to mind. He giggled drunkenly and passed his bottle to Tom before hitting the dance floor with his hot girlfriend.
"Tonight I want all of you tonight" another pitbull hit started to play; Tom put his phone in his pocket, turned to me and held his hand in front of me which I took without a second thought.
