Part One: A Broken Promise

George looked over at his brother, praying that this wouldn't be the last time they'd see each other.

"Go. I'll catch up with you" Fred nodded in response and ran out of the room, followed closely by Percy. George looked around the room and saw Aquilae. George loved Aquilae, but would never tell her, in fear of her not loving him back.

"George, uh, before we go. I have to tell you something..." Aquilae started.

"Yeah?"

"I, um, I really don't know how to say this... I-I think I love you"

George's looked at Aquilae, wide-eyed. She loved him? This was possibly the happiest day of his life.

"You love me?" George asked, still a little shocked. Aquilae smiled shyly and nodded. George smiled, if he smiled any bigger it wouldn't fit on his face, George walked over to Aquilae and hugged her.

"I love you too" he whispered in her ear, then softly kissing her on the lips. When he pulls away, Aquilae steps on the tips of her toes and kisses him.

"We should go..." Aquilae trails off.

"Promise me you won't die?" George asked, holding out his pinkey finger

"I promise" Aquilae replied, looping her pinkey around George's.

She broke her promise, George kneeled down next to Aquilae's lifeless body. She was so pale and cold.George had told himself not to cry, but he couldn't help it. Hundreds of tears fell and hit the stone floor, George took of his sweater, folding it up he placed it under her head; like a pillow, as if she were sleeping. George stood up slowly, turned and walked out of the hall. He knew that if he stayed there, with Aquilae, a death-eater would find him. At that moment in time, George wanted a Death-eater to find him, so he could be with Aquilae. But he knew that he shouldn't, he had Fred to look after. He wouldn't know what to do without him, and he was sure that Fred felt the same way. George started to fight. He fought with the strength of two people, and mabey it was two people: He thought that Aquilae was helping him, helping him fight better, harder and stronger.

Voldemort had given them an hour. One hour to mourn, just on single hour. George slowly walked back to the great hall. He dreaded to see how many of his friends lay their, motionless and cold. He saw his family, they were crying. George counted in his head. One... Dad, Two... Mum, Three... Charlie, Four... Bill, Five... Percy, Six... Ron, Seven... Ginny. It dawned on George that Fred was missing. When he reached his family he saw why, on the floor laying next to Aquilae, was Fred. George emidantly fell to his knees and began to cry. He cried for Fred, and he cried for his beautiful Aquilae. They where gone, the two people that made him laugh and smile when he was sad. They were gone.
