Like, should I take her out, should we stay in and chill, or should we just do nothing. And I definitely don't want her feeling like I'm not putting in effort. "Derek what are you thinking about?," Alyssa asked. She scared me because I didn't know where she was. I looked around and my eyes met hers. "Um Nothing Angel just really tired," I lied just so she wouldn't worry. She replied, "Derek don't lie to me, I know that face. You're thinking about something. It's bothering you." She pulled herself closer to me in the kitchen and I kissed her on her forehead. I slowly said, "it's nothing babe. I'm fine." She knew I was lying, I could tell. I didn't wanna seem like I was nervous so I just tried to play it off. Which obviously wasn't working because Alyssa could read me like a book. Even though this is our first official time of dating . We've know each other forever. We grew up together, literally. I started to check the kitchen cabinets, to see if we had anything to make. We had pancake mix, and grits. I decided to make it because cooking was the only thing that brought me peace nowadays What am I gonna do.
