Change isn't something that's drastic for humans to adapt. Or else, it's just not genuine. But ....

Will it be a tiny bit of chance for him now that his Jaeminnie secretly looked for him every night to fall asleep between his arms?

Will it be considered a small luck that his Jaeminnie became to spare little happy smiles when Jeno brought in Yiseul, a big samoyed in house?

Short conversations of "good mornings" and "goodnights" were now shared between them. Although it was too short, Jeno was still thankful his Jaemin reponded back to him everytime he initiated.

They even had a dinner together in the dining room but without any conversation. Even so, it was a huge improvement in the relationship. Jeno started showing care and fixed his behaviors that might come out as being toxic.

They both noticed the change but no one really questioned about it.

It was going fine between the two until one day when Jaemin was speaking on the phone to his parents and spotted Jeno who was looking at him.

Jaemin was happily talking to his mom and appreciating her little talk about living in Japan and how much she missed him until his eyes wavered to the door and saw Jeno. He quickly declined the call with a respectful goodbye and worriedly looked over.

He then quickly left the spot, hugging his phone tightly and walked away.

At first Jeno was confused and hurt from the sudden distant. It was as if his efforts were all gone and their relationship stepped back. And then he realized.... his Jaeminnie was scared.

The younger boy was so convinced that Jeno still wanted to hurt his family and so his fears returned when he thought Jeno was reminded of them again. That was how much he hurt Jaemin. How much Jaemin was scared of him.

To be honest, Jeno brought his ego down by a lot when he decided to let go of the past and cherish the present with this boy. He stopped thinking about the revenge and all those complicated stuff since long ago. He was only focusing on bringing Jaemin's happiness back.

He knew it was time to speak openly with Jaemin.

__

Jeno was waiting for his Jaemin on the bed so he could hug him to sleep.

The younger was taking a late night shower and Jeno didn't complain only because the day was a bit warm.

The door swung open and Jeno smiled as he sat up on the bed only to be confronted by nervous looking Jaemin who was only covered in a white bath rope.

What surprised him more was that Jaemin walked and entered the bed without changing as he approached Jeno whose breath paced up.

"Jaemin? What's wrong?"

He wanted to check the boy but Jaemin straddled over him and rested his hands over Jeno's shoulders.
