Part 4: Running

I woke up and got out of bed. I opened my eyes and looked around. I wasn't in my room, I stood up and ran out of the room. I walked down the hallway quietly and looked into the kitchen. No one there. I looked into the living room. No one there.

I felt the weight that was on my shoulders lighted up knowing that no one was home. I stood up straight, about to ditch my shoes and run for the door until I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I screamed and turned around quickly, and slapped whoever was behind me. It was Techno. He didn't move a bit. He just stared down at me. I looked at him with wide eyes and ran.

He ran after me.

"𝐈'𝗺 𝐬𝗼𝐫𝐫𝐲!! 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝗼𝐰 𝐲𝗼𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝗺𝐞!!" I screamed running up the stairs. I heard his footsteps behind me as I ran down the hallway. I felt his arms wrap around my waist and pick me up. I screamed.

"𝐈'𝗺 𝐬𝗼𝐫𝐫𝐲!!" I said giggling at the end. He laughed along with me and spun me in circles. He put me down and I looked up at him. I noticed the red handprint on his cheek.

"𝐎𝐡.. 𝐈'𝗺 𝐬𝗼𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝗼𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝗼𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝗺𝐚𝐫𝐤.." I said observing his cheek.

"Iᴛ's ғɪɴᴇ, I ᴅɪᴅɴ'ᴛ ᴇᴠᴇɴ ғᴇᴇʟ ɪᴛ" he said.

"𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝗼𝐮 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞? 𝐈𝐭 𝐥𝗼𝗼𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐬.."

"Yᴇs.." He took my hand off his cheek, holding it in between both of his, "I'ᴍ ᴠᴇʀʏ sᴜʀᴇ." He bent down to my height, looking me in the eyes. I blushed and looked to the side. He laughed.

"Aʀᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴜɴɢʀʏ?" He asked, "I ᴄᴀɴ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ʏᴏᴜ sᴏᴍᴇᴛʜɪɴɢ ɪғ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ."

"𝐍𝗼, 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞." I said declining the offer but my stomach said otherwise as it growled. We looked at each other for a few seconds, my cheeks heating up from the embarrassment. He sighed and grabbed my hand, dragging me downstairs.

He sat me down at the counter.

"Wʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴇᴀᴛ?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. He sighed once again and began to cook eggs. (Unless you don't eat animal products, then he made your favorite breakfast, I don't know what to say.)

I smelled the air, it smelled amazing. He finished and put it in front of me, he leaned on the counter waiting for me to eat. I picked up the fork and ate a bite. He stood up and began cleaning the dishes he used.

I finished soon after. He took the plate and fork and washed them.

"𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝗼𝐮.." I said looking at the back of him. He turned his head slightly to see me looking at him, I darted my head to the side. He laughed at that.

"Nᴏ ᴘʀᴏʙʟᴇᴍ, ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴛᴇʟʟ ᴍᴇ ɪғ ʏᴏᴜ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ." He said turning around. He looked amazing.. I didn't want to seem like a creep so I looked away. I could feel my cheeks heat up, why am I blushing? I literally met him a few days ago..

"Wʜᴀᴛ's ᴡʀᴏɴɢ?" He asked now crouched in front of me. He looked up at me with worry.

"𝐎𝐡 𝐧𝗼𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠.." I trailed off. He raised his eyebrow.

"Aʙᴏᴜᴛ?"

"𝐎𝐡 𝐮𝐡.. 𝐈 𝐝𝗼𝐧'𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝗼𝐰." I lied. I didn't want to say anything about it, I just wanted to figure this out on my own.

"Oᴋ, ɪғ ʏᴏᴜ sᴀʏ sᴏ. Yᴏᴜ ᴄᴀɴ ᴛᴇʟʟ ᴍᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ." He said walking to the seat beside me.

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝗼𝐝𝐚𝐲?" I asked. He looked at his phone.

"Fʀɪᴅᴀʏ" he replied. I panicked.

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝗺𝐞?"

"9:00ᴀᴍ, ᴡʜʏ? Wʜᴀᴛ's ᴡʀᴏɴɢ?" He asked

"𝐈 𝐠𝗼𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝗼 𝐜𝗼𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞." I said grabbing my things. I put my shoes on and he followed me. We rushed out the door and towards the college. I got to the entrance and tried to calm my breathing.

I checked the time. 9:15m. I let out a breath of relief and smiled, my first class started at 9:30.

"Dɪᴅ ᴡᴇ ɢᴇᴛ ʜᴇʀᴇ ᴏɴ ᴛɪᴍᴇ?" He asked. I nodded he smiled with me. "Nɪᴄᴇ, ᴡᴇʟʟ.. I'ʟʟ sᴇᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ?" He asked.

"𝐌𝐡𝗺, 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝗼𝐮 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐟𝐞?" He nodded.

"Aᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴀғᴇ" he smiled. I gave him a hug and he tensed. After a second he returned the hug. I smiled up at him, he darted his head to the side and covered his face. I giggled and let go.

"𝐁𝐲𝐞!!" I yelled running onto the campus. He turned towards me.

"Bʏᴇ" he replied.
