Episode 28 - (July Sweeps/Part 3)

In his suite room right now, Pete stands in front of the mirror fully dressed for today's wedding in tux, slacks, black shoes, and the whole nine yards. Opal adjust his black bowtie as you could tell not only was she happy and excited for the day, Opal was just proud of her boy who's finally getting married to the love of his life in Celia Fitzgerald. No longer did she have to worry about who Pete brought home whether it's a female from a past fling, random hook up or anything else. Celia was the love of that mans life and she was going to love Pete forever, but the one thing Opal wished for and so did Pete is that Palmer could be here to see this. Her would be over the moon, ecstatic to see his son get married but welcome Celia into the family properly. Thankfully Pete had his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews by his side who were there after Palmer passed away. The man continued living his life, going to college, getting his business degree and accomplishing everything else, he even made his own app called CortApp that was very successful. Now to top it all off, the man now can say he married the most beautiful woman in the world who caught his attention long time ago.

Pete - "Well mom, this is it you know? Your baby boy is getting married today

Opal - "About time if you asked me, but I am proud of the man you've become Pete. If only your father was here right now..."

Pete - "He would be saying, job well done son but he's not...man do I miss him you know?

Opal - "Me too son, me too, it's hard for me to still process the great Palmer Cortlandt gone for good. Your father was too stubborn to die"

Pete - *Chuckles* "Just like how Adam Chandler and other ruthless men are too stubborn to die?"

Opal - "For the most part yes but I loved that man so much. He drove me crazy and there were times, even after we separated...we still loved each other"

Pete - "I know you did mom, I loved him too. He may not be here in the flesh but here in spirit to see his son tie the knot"

There was a knock on the door before Opal walked away from Pete to answer it. She didn't know who it was so maybe it could be someone else for the wedding"

Opal - "I got it Pete, just stay right there and don't move. Hopefully it's not Celia since she is in her own room"

Opal approaches the door and opens it before seeing Tad, Adrian, Ross, and Andrew, the best men for Pete as she smiled at all four of them.

Tad - "Hey ma, hopefully were not too late aren't we?"

Opal - *Smiles* "No you're not, come on in. Pete! Your brothers and nephew are here!"

Opal moved out of the way as the four came into the room before they embraced Pete. Deciding to give Pete and the guys some space, Opal tells Pete he's going to check on Celia before leaving the room and closing the door behind her. Pete was just talking with the guys and making conversation with all of them as they were happy to see Pete have his big day. Everything from what his mother told him earlier should be good and ready to go unless there were some major issues going on behind the scenes. Hopefully no one else crashed it either, because knowing Pine Valley when it comes to big events it can be either good or bad. Someone just has to take the fun out of everything and turn it into drama. For example, David almost crashing and being near Pete during the bachelor party when no one wanted him around. Of course, Leo sat with David when the party was done but what if he showed up again at the wedding to cause more drama? It would infuriate Pete and Celia but at least it wouldn't stop them from getting married. They made a promise to each other at the end of the day to not look back and keep moving forward whether anyone likes it or not.

Aidan, Lea and Robert arrived at the location where Jean could possibly be held at as Lea brief them in on what they're mission was. Robert, who knew the family best from his day as Papal had made contact with one of the members and wanted to talk them about doing business with each other. What they didn't know was, all of it is a ruse to draw out the family and take them all down so they could go into FBI custody. It wasn't going to be easy but that's where Aidan was going to come in and assist Robert out on the outside. The warehouse from where the meeting is going to take place has guards that are guarding almost every section so the man had to be careful and make sure he doesn't make any kind of sounds. Lea on the other hand was on the phone with the local police telling them what was going on but her mind was on the encounter she had with Aidan earlier on in the day. If she still wanted Aidan after this is done, she had to make her mark and let him she was serious. This wasn't up for debate as Aidan couldn't back out of it either, he probably wasn't thinking about it as of now since Devane was always focused for assignments, but in the end she hoped he wouldn't mind being with her in the long run.
