Nightmares

It was about half way through the night cycle in the castle of lions when a loud scream erupted down the empty halls. It had been happening since Keith returned from the blades, the paladins knew now that the heart wrenching male scream had to be coming from Keith. This night in particular the paladins had stayed up to watch the security cameras in Keith's room and sure enough he bolted up right and let out a loud scream that seemed to echo throughout the whole castle. He seemed to be sweating and panting he looked around his room in a panicked state before lowering his head back down onto the pillow.

The next morning the paladins decided that they would have a sleep over in the lounge, Keith resisted at first but then decided to join his fellow paladins. Once night hit Keith knew he had to stay awake as not to worry the paladins.

He wasn't sure when it had happened but somehow he'd fallen asleep and now was bolting upright and sweating whilst sucking in sharp breaths. To his surprise all the other members of the castle seemed to be crouched around him and immediately started trying to comfort him. It was like they already knew it was going to happen.

Keith- I'm sorry if I woke you guys.

Lance- It's fine Keith we already knew about the nightmares. We hear the screams at night we hoped maybe if you where sleeping near us it might help, clearly it didn't.

Hunk- Yeah bud we just where trying to help. You don't have to be ashamed we all get nightmares now and then.

Coran- Perhaps if you told us about what happens in this nightmare we could better help ?

Keith- Thanks guys, and I suppose there's no harm in telling you guys about it. It's from when I was at the blades...

The others listen whilst Keith explains the horrors of his nightmares and all one by one end up covering him in a huge group hug. One thing above all else that stands out to the other paladins that remained awake after hunk and Keith fell asleep was that ...

In hunks arms Keith slept in completely peace, no sign of a nightmare just pure peace was spread over the troubled boys face. For once it seemed that in the comfort of his friends firm grip he was able to sleep without further interruption.
